Well, being from MN, you'll actually have access to some of our stuff like Central Waters and Tyranena. That being taken into consideration, I'd say you definitely need to pick up plenty of New Glarus. Of course, you have to start with their Belgian Red and Raspberry Tart. I'd also recommend picking up some of their IIPA and Saison (both are thumprint series brews and come in four packs) and some Dancing Man Wheat, which is also great (all of their beers are great, but these are probably my favorites of what is out now).

Another one you may want to consider picking up is Ale Asylum's Bedlam.

Go to Riley's Wine and Spirits. They have a good selection and you can make sample 6 packs of many 12 ounce brews made by local breweries. Plus, there's a great bbq place next door w/40 taps.

If possible, I highly recommend taking a drive to New Glarus to visit the brewery. Especially if the weather allows, it's a great spot to sit and enjoy some of their brews.

OP shouldn't pass up getting Ale Asylum's Ambergergeddon while picking up the Bedlam.

Do not get the #18 at the Old Fashioned, spaghetti and chili, go with a burger instead. They have good food. I just picked the wrong thing, and man oh man, I got so sick I had to roll to the nearest Walgreens and dose up on Tums and Zantac. Too greasy. I thought I was going to fall out of wheelchair and hurl all over State St. I can't recall when I've been that green without having the flu. My friend had a good laugh at my expense.

On a better note, Maduro is a good place to grab a brew. I've gone there many a time and had a lot of fun. Nice ambiance if you are ok with a little smoke. Don't smoke too many cigars. You will pay for it later.
