Visiting West Palm Beach from Long Island

    What in everyone's opinion would be the best beers to grab when I head down there at the end of the month? I'm looking specifically for those not available on Long Island, and good beer at that. I know CCB is probably the best stuff that comes out of FL, but to my knowledge we get almost everything they make up here in NY. Thanks for the input!

    Yes CCB makes the most well known items from Fl.They have good distribution in west and central Fl but not real consistent in south Fl. so picking up items other than their flag ships (Jai Alai,Maduro,Tocabago) may be difficult.There is St Somewhere if you like sours. Your best bet though is to just go to the brewerys/brewpubs and drink while you are here. In the WPB area are Tequesta Brewing(north county-Jupiter/Tequesta),Due South(central county-Boynton Beach) and Funky Buddha(south county-Boca Raton).

    This is a good site for seeing what you can get in a state compared to your state, http://seekabrew.com/
    But, just because it shows up on this list for FL does not mean you will be able to find it statewide.

    I noticed Tequesta is not too far away...is it worth the trip? What are their "beers to try"?

    I like all three that I mentioned earlier,my personal favorite is Funky Buddha in Boca,but all three have variety to offerand it will just depend on your personal taste

    I recently tasted just a flight at Tequesta and really enjoyed it. Definitely worth a trip. It's also awesome because the brewery is RIGHT THERE. As in, it's in the bar. Pretty awesome. And Matt seems like an awesome guy, although our chat yesterday was rather brief.

    Tequesta Brewing is awesome! Gnarley Barley is my personal favorite. They just released a Belgian Dubbel and a Belgian Wheat. Both are fantastic brews. I garauntee you won't be disappointed! Let me know what days you can make it and I will meet you up there and pop a rare bottle for you. Cheers, Stephen.

    Ill also be in the West Palm area the 23-24. Was gonna hit due south but they're closed on Monday's. Thinking of hitting Buddha and maybe TBC. Since their we page is Facebook, can anyone tell me what's currently on tap there (TPC). Thanks in advance.
