yeah, it seems like the sweet spot is about 2-3 hours after doors open and the initial line is serviced and those folks have had a few drinks and left the tap room

Nelson was probably my favorite from them last year, very excited about this release.

Man, Bushwick Fine Fare just keeps adding GD cans on beermenus. Almost gotta appreciate the lack of fucks they give...new mule must have dropped some off today? I guess this means they sold out yesterday

They took it down then put it back up? I think they do that just so it pops up on people's feeds multiple times.

I had my 10 year old last weekend with me for GD. Donuts from OH helped keep him busy!

If can sales start at 10 AM, what about growlers? Can they only begin selling at noon? And guessing can't stay for a pint if you get there before noon either?

Alcohol can be served in New York City at 8 AM. The Blue Law no longer restricts until 12. There are many bars that open even before 8 AM on Sundays and serve for euro soccer games.

I've been thinking of driving up from central jersey for one of the releases in the near future, how is the parking situation? i couldn't find any info on the website. Would i just be better taking the train/subway?

Parking, for me at least, has never been a problem. If you cant find parking on the block of the brewery there is usually parking a few blocks north on Hamilton on the dead end side near the construction.

It's so close to the train station that unless it's a serious pain/inconvenient to get to the subway, I would def take the train.

If you are just going to try their beers and take a growler or so home with you, then take the train. If you are going up for a can release and you dont want to lug a bunch of beer back with you, then drive in. Parking isnt bad in the area.

For Green Diamonds release, growler system was down. Matt informed everyone in line. They said the tank was filled friday but had a leak. They were able to fill one 32 for me. May have been fixed that day, but I left at 10:30. Suspect it will be all set this time.

Enjoyed a pint as well! Never too early to try beer!

I was there at 9am and found a spot on the street a block away. There is a McDonald's across the street. Not sure on the parking limit there, but if your in and out, probably not a problem.

Wow really? I showed up at ~11 and it was fixed by then. Filled 3 growlers right before I left around 12.

I figured it was an easy fix, get another tank. Had my 10 year old with me, so couldn't stick around. If I was with a buddy, would have hung out, grabbed a beer or two and then fill up my 64.

Any recommendations on their beer? I liked Green Diamonds more than All Green Everything. Hop Showers was good and so was Other Half IPA. Going to fill my 32 for my brother with All Green Everything. Prefer IPA/DIPA over other beers (stouts, etc.), but open to try something different.

If Greenbacks is still on by Sunday, check that one out. It's a special they brewed for Mission Dolores' 5th anniversary, and it's one of their best.

Definitely try G is for Green--it's great. My favorite beer is probably greenbacks (just a single IPA), but that was brewed for mission dolores' anniversary, and think it kicked on saturday. would definitely try g is for green though

    edit- @bkabak great minds etc...
