Dark Lord Day (DLD) 2015

Coming solo this year. Group A, but have to leave by 3pm to catch a flight to Nashville. Thinking of bringing Nutulhu. Definitely bringing BBA Biscotti Break and Vanilla Hunter.

 

The last three years it's been cloudy/cool, sunny/hot, windy as fnck/cool. During the day it's been the same. The only difference was the wind last year at night really put a damper on everyone. Mostly because people didn't dress for a windchill that made it feel like 20 once the sunset.

 

I'm in a similar boat as you, solo and group A and I have to catch a flight back to the Bay Area. I'll be bringing some Black Tuesday and RR Sours and a few others.

 

Has anyone not received their tickets in the mail yet and have yet to call Etix in hopes they show up?

 

Haven't been to DLD since 12 so just curious as to how the sharing is now done,is there and area or a table? Just looking to bring some stuff hang out and try some different beers.any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

List is finalized. Everything is packed and ready to go. MC, Tweak, and DL'11 are all for trades but everything else will be shared. Also gonna grab some West Sixth IPA before I leave.

Pretty sure there's 2 variants so far, Muerte was confirmed in the original article about Dark Lord Hot Sauce

And Dark Matter's DLD site seems to suggest there may be a Cognac BA Dark Lord, unless they used some older vintage cognac DL barrels

Not an amazing lineup, but solid.

our compound will be on the north side in the parking lot/yard of Lithographic Communications. All is welcome to swing by as well. Will definitely hit you up for a bottle of that PtE or 2, it's my wifes bosses favorite beer.

 

I am bringing a Casey magnum as well....we should probably get those two bottles together considering there aren't many of them....

first DLD, do people really line up starting at 8:30-9:30 for group B? What's the point?

 

Bottle sharing, meeting others. Some like to make it more of a day than just walking in when it's time and leaving.

 

People line up for entry to the festival, regardless of group, and bottle share in line.

No one can actually line up for group sales until the gates open, and they discourage "pre-lines" forming for group sales. They do, however, try to funnel Group A people straight from the lines outside the festival right into the group sales lines.

 

This being my first DLD, I don't know really anything at all about the guest beer situation. It's something I'm really looking forward to, but it seems like nobody is really talking about it.

Do they announce the guest beer list before the event? And any idea or speculation as to what I can expect to see there?
