    Does Notch make it out to NY? If so, Notch Pils is a very solid example of the style. Lagunitas Pilz also works and should be easy to find.

    I echo all I the recommendations for SN Nooner and Kellerweiss. I'll add a recommendation for Oskar Blues Mama's Little Yella Pils. Have a good Summer!

    Oh, also White Birch blueberry berliner weisse. Awesome, tart, crisp and light and usually $4/bomber.

    Troegs Sunshine Pils and Victory Prima Pils are fantastic summer beers . . . and I don't even like Pilsners. I, for one, will be drinking cases and cases of Victory Kirsch Gose this summer. The reviews have been sort of love it or hate it from what I have heard and read, but I think it is just a perfect sunny day beer. Not too sweet and not too sour, light and easy for any time.

    Try the Kolsch style of beers. Kolsch is brewed to be crisp and refreshing. Lancaster brewing company has a good one out now and Harpoon Summer Ale is not too far off and should be in your area. I saw Victory summer of Love mentioned and that is a good beer too!

    These are honestly two of the only american pilsners that I will touch. I will almost always pass up a pils for something else. It's just not for me. I could also drink a big stout on the hottest of days and love it, so I'm probably just weird.

    Seconded, what a nice surprise for me last summer. Nice clove undertone to make it unique from many other summer beers...

    I'm not trying to get smart or anything with you, just pointing out that those are widely regarded among the best (of an admittedly sad lot). So, in a sense you recognize that and respond to it; those beers are pretty much what the style is about. If you had access to more of that quality I bet your opinion of Pilsners in general would change.

    ETA: I've said it before and I'll say it again- Pilsners are hoppy beers, or at least they are supposed to be :slight_smile:.

    I've never heard of it so I would assume it does not get distributed here, but I will definitely check BeerMenus and seek it out!
