Trying to decide if it's worth it to drive from Holland to Founders and back after putting the kids to bed. Mainly I'd be going to try Panther Cub and the Sherry Cask Imperial Black IPA (whew, that's a mouthful). I'm guessing these are leftovers from the Black Party? The alternative is to stay home and watch the Blackhawks/Preds game, not drink, and hope that these are still around on Sat.

For Panther Cub? Yes. For Sherry Cask? No. Don't waste your time on that one. Get several pours of Panther Cub or try some of the other Class 1 or 2 one-offs, they're also great.

Panther Cub is most likely my favorite Founder's beer ever produced. I was blown away when I had one, this past weekend. Real good stuff.

Go to bed, not worth the drive. Those two are just not good, especially panther cub!
If you go, Rye death is a better one to try than the ipa IMO, and panther cub tops all, cbs is always a treat too.

PC was darn good, but I think I like the Donkey Stout even better.

Thanks for the op, pushed me to make the drive up for a cub and sandwich this afternoon, also had a taste of rye death - not bad but I liked panther cub better. I'm also encouraged about the growler of Donkey Stout in the fridge! again, thanks for the post

Two words: Panther Cub. Especially if you haven't tried it.

I went there Sunday night by myself, just for a panther cub. Ended up having a CBS also and then left with a growler of donkey stout. It was a great decision.

it's only 1:15 for me and I still don't make it there. Life gets in the way.

I was hoping they would be bringing their A game to a beerfest this weekend and instead they are bringing all day, imperial, blushing monk, and rubaeus... Just kind of sad. Not that they are bad beers, but they are all readily available beers. Hoping they pull out something as a surprise, but I have low hopes.

Same here...just over 2 hours means it has to be a dedicated trip.

Just over 2 miles away. It's an impulse trip that I make quite regularly.
