When will Heady Topper be overtaken as #1?

In my opinion the "world's greatest" of anything is simply overrated.

You seem much more statistically capable than I. So, KBS has 407 "rates", after the remaining 7,726 people in Decorah, IA rate it, what do you predict will be the threshold for KBBS?

I've had a buttload of IPAs, including pipeworks, lawsons, fiddlehead, HF, ghandi bot, permanent funeral, etc. call me crazy but Heady is still my favorite. It's all relevant and opinions anyway so I don't know why people care so much or say how one is definitely better than the next.
In the words of the Dude, "yeah, well that's just like.. your opinion, man."

 

I mean hands down Focal Banger is better than Heady. It stays at its best longer too

 

I will be looking to trade for it as soon as I get home from deployment!

 

i drank a heady on saturday and it was far from the best beer i ever had
but the 3 doz headys i had previously definitely were the best beers i ever had

Good Morning probably has a better chance of taking over #1 than KBBS. I don't think either should be #1 but Good Morning has a super high score and seems to be made more often and in larger batches than KBBS.

Not sure what you mean, but Westy 12 is extremely easy to attain. I'd say easier than KBBS without a doubt and even easier than Heady. If you're willing to foot the shipping bill from Belgium that is.

Not even. Sure - you had to go to Belgium. But you were basically guaranteed to have some if you made the trek.

To get KBBS - you have to go to Decorah, IA one specific day which isn't advertised that far in advance and camp out in line for hour and hours on end hoping to get your hands on one bottle.

 

Uhhhhh, that beer is beyond beautiful. And the can looks pretty sweet too. That counts towards appearance, right? Alchemist doesn't tell you to drink the beer out of a can because it's "ugly AF" at all. I don't know why people say that. I've heard it a few times now. It's to seal all the aroma inside the can.

 

I prefer Lawson's Double Sunshine to Heady, and every day--on the elevator, in line at the supermarket, on the bus--I buttonhole the people next to me to tell them all about it because the world deserves to know. I think my message is really getting across, too, because the people I enlighten often call me a "pest," which, I think, is a German word that means "well-informed person whose opinion is quite important."
