Dark Lord Day (DLD) 2015

Are you saying the "working with area retailers" verbiage was removed a few weeks ago, or was that more recently deleted? I had been hoping for "official details" on this front but this makes it seem as if they won't be coming.

 

I will be there at 6:30 am until they kick my drunk ass out at or around 10 pm!

I cannot remember exactly when, it's quite a few pages back, but yeah they changed that portion when they officially announced that packaged sales were a no go for the event this year. Prior to that it was merely speculation.

Yeah I highly doubt there will be any changes to what has been or is currently stated about packaged sales, they are officially out for Sat.

 

We left around 4 last year, but I heard it emptied out quite a bit due to the harsh weather by early evening. I imagine with the same weather, it'll happen again this year. Nice part is the tap lines should be super short or empty by then.

That being said, we're getting there at 6 and staying all day, so we'll definitely be there after 3pm.

 

I am seeing 49 with 90% chance of rain. Shitty.

Shit that sucks, if it stays that way I see a very short DLD for people.

 

Weather.com is forcasting one model and accuweather.com is forcasting another.

 

They're close enough. Either way it's going to be messy and somewhat miserable. Might as well get wasted and toss care out the window.

 

I'm actually seeing mid-high 40s and rain for both currently, but I arbitrarily trust Accuweather more. Hopefully Friday's weather pushes over one day, and we get a sunny, dry, DLD.

 

Nice to see the price per bottle is up to $20...I always thought I didn't spend enough money there in the past.

 

Hoping for the same, but we'll tough it out regardless. Being a 5 hour trip that we do quite a bit of planning for, we might as well make the best of it and enjoy the day regardless of the weather.

 

I actually think those of you who are coming for the entirety of the fest/day before/day after are better off than those of us just coming for a portion of the fest. I can't really justify bringing a tent/chairs/etc. when I'm realistically only going to be there for 5-6 hours tops. Yeah, it might be miserable, but if you guys are planning well, I bet you'll be all set.

 

Do we know how much a tap beer costs?

 

I wonder if the variants are going to cost $80-$100 this year. I could totally see them upping the price of those to make up for the lack of onsite packaged sales

2013 was $5 for most stuff and $10 for the rare stuff. 2014 was $5 for all beer, but pours were smaller for rare stuff.
