I've done Reggie's the last 2 years and never had any issues. Feel like the bus breakdown must have been an isolated incident because they run shuttles all year long to other events so they must be pretty proficient at it.

One other point about Reggie's is that in my experience you don't necessarily need to be there at 7am to get on the first wave of buses. I was there at open last year and a few of my friends trickled in at 7:30-7:45 and still managed to get on the first wave. Still, if you want to guarantee a spot on the first wave get there when they open.

In 2013 the Reggie's bus was full when I tried to catch it back to Chicago. Was not a good scenario with a dead phone and a long way from sober. I would avoid if you have other options

Oh, awesome. I know some of my friends are stragglers, so I feel it's best to be safe and say "hey, get there at 7
We were slow in figuring out how to get there, so it seems like an okay option given the circumstances/times/etc. I also have some family that lives in Munster about a mile away from FFF, so if things get really bad, I can just call them up and have them get my friends and I to a train station or something if needed (absolute worst case).

Just announced the kiosk is selling limited numbers of 14 DL and BA Behemoth today. No word on prices.

I recommend you read the text in all CAPS on the back of your ticket.

Technically, Belgian brewed lambics are sold in Northwest Indiana. Just not easy to find. Speaking technically, of course.

Tickets have arrived. No BS "ticket resolution" tent for me!

At least I hope not. Bringing all the stuff they said to bring just in case they decided to go ahead and deactivate our tickets anyway because, based on eTix's monumental incompetence so far, it wouldn't surprise me if that happened.

Just found out the 18th st. event was a ticketed thing, and is sold out. Any other ideas for what a buddy and I can do on Friday? Is the Goose Island taproom finally open?

True, if he wants real lambics I would go into the city and check Binny's LP, Beer Temple, WLV etc..

But he did say he preferred local brews.

The beer that they would have sold onsite is getting loaded on to a truck and sent to the distributor instead...which means they will get all of their money instantly vs. selling it throughout the day. I don't think they will need to re-coop costs from not selling beer on site.

Not yet, but it's possible it will open this week still.

You can still go to 18th St after 7pm when the ticketed sessions are over.

Other options include: Local Option and Flossmoor Station

Finally the thread has turned back around! Im going to add that the new stein glasses from Dark Matter look legit.... Way better than the original mugs. Has anyone ever had the bagged coffee they are releasing? Or anything similar from them. Curious what to expect there....

What about the fact that if they sold it at DLD it would've been cash only (i.e., some earnings may fall through the cracks for IRS reporting...) AND they'd be charging ~ retail prices themselves rather than having to give the distributor a discount.

Given how much they are annually putting out on DLD, I am guessing the two factors I've noted above would reduce the bottom line on sales of those beers considerably.
