18th St Barrel Massacre

The first post said they would he closed for two hours and then all day, hopefully the extra timing pays off but this sounds like they threw it together. I love 18th street beers and the crew is great so I'm wishing them the best of luck.

 

Are you questioning my sense of entitlement? Something exists and I want it. Doesn't matter that I just tried craft beer for the first time last night.

Ah, I thought maybe there was an update. Considering how this is coming together, I'd be surprised if the list isn't different.

 

I'm definitely having Hunter Coffee Vanilla and Bitches B Crazy. Will probably have to try Orange Vanilla too. I've had regular Hunter Cherry Vanilla and it was delicious. I wish they had a barrel aged offering of that. Might have to blend coconut and vanilla and make my own variant as well. I'm driving back to Chicago after my session so I'll probably try to limit myself to 4. That's going to be tough.

Definitely grabbing bottles of Bitches B Crazy and BA Hunter. The brown ale was awesome on tap but I can't pass up these two.

 

Dumb question(s) I'm guessing...but one must literally have a ticket to get in and even be present, correct? Like, the person with me will either have to wait outside or buy a DD ticket to come in with me?

Has anyone seen if 18th street will be selling standard bottles they have available during barrel massacre, or bm bottles only?

 

It's rare that they have more than one or two offerings to go anyway in the "bottle shop." Looks like today all they have is their Cockfight Saison 6 packs.

 

They replied to a tweet I had about it, ba sales only. Didn't see sour note gose was sold out and was hoping to grab one. Oh well.

 

Head to Pats Liquor in porter. It's my faveorite little bottle shop. I was just there today and picked up a 6pk of **** fight. They had all 3 sour notes there, along with a bunch of other random gems from all over. That place should be picked over by the end of the day so get there as soon as you can.

 

Shhhh...don't give away pats liquors to everyone!

 

Hunter Orange Vanilla is outstanding

 

What was the bottle situation like? Was everyone able to get what they wanted or were options limited for those at the back of the line?

 

I heard they upped the bottle limit to 4

 

Would be big news as I wait for the last ticketed session.

 

They did let session one buy one of each variant.
