Dark Lord Day (DLD) 2015

This is not what happened to my group. I was the only Group A, yet all of us got into the festival via North Gate.

 

A couple tid bits I picked up while at the pub today: There is/was 700+ bottles of DL '14 bottles that "should last into the evening." They had enough ZD to last into the evening at least (both pieces of info came from the guy at the to-go kiosk so take it for what it is. The Main stage will be in the same spot as last year and....that's all I got.

 

Into the evening when? Today?

 

I love their barrel-aged coffees. Black blood was the best coffee I've ever had. Also had a single origin Guatemala from them aged in bourbon county vanilla barrels that was really good.

Did they say if it was going to rain and be cold?

 

So they won't have ZD at kiosk on Friday? Have they announced what places around town will have their regular beers?

 

What's grounds situation looking like? Mostly grass or gravel? Hopefully the later with the rain.

 

It is not strictly enforced, they just want Group As to go in the North Gate and everyone else through the South Gate, at least first thing in the morning. By 11 am it doesn't matter. You are correct that anyone can still get in the North Gate. They just say this to help move Group A faster.

True, but read the post I was quoting. She was asking if Group A gets to skip ahead of everyone else and get in. The answer is no, but waiting at the North Gate should speed things up for Group As.

They usually have more ZD in stock the week of DLD. It isn't a normal week where it sells out in 1-2 days and then you don't see it until next week. I would expect them to put more out Thursday or Friday.

 

Curious, how quick do the lines go for DL allotment. I swapped tickets with a friend and will be doing Group C, instead, so he can get home earlier, and I have tickets to take a bus back at 5 p.m. (bailed on the Reggie's shuttle after hearing so many great things about it)

With Group C running from 2:30-4:30, would that leave enough time?

 

Make sure you're at the front of the group you'll be fine

 

I'm sure the DL lines will be faster this year since they're not selling other beer to go.

 

That would probably mean more people in DL lines rather than beer to go lines and more people in beer lines. Beer to go was in a different warehouse last year.

 

The only way there will be more people in DL lines is if they actually offered more group tickets than they have previously.

 

Holy crap thank the DARK LORD , the tickets arrived today looking as though they made a detour through hell it self, but they're here. We hit the road at 5am tomorrow from Colorado, nothing like the last minute.
