Isn't almost every standard backpack bigger than that? Mine certainly is.

My soft side over the shoulder cooler is 10x12x18. Here's hoping they don't have tape measures at the gate ...

Oh, good to see I might be getting into a fight before the day even really begins.

Dark Lord Day website still says this:

    ARE BACKPACKS PERMITTED?

Backpacks are permitted at Dark Lord Day.

    No mentions of size limitations.

You guys will be fine. My soft cooler I just purchased is slightly larger than that as well. They've got to put this stuff in writing; people push limits and it's better to "say" you've a limit than let the mass's imaginations run wild! There won't be tape measures, don't fret.

*I write this as a virgin of this event. If I'm wrong...well, I won't be!

I was there today to pick up last years DL. What I will call the bullpen (metal bike racks forming lines) was set up at the SW corner of Superior and Indiana Parkway. Ground was new gravel. I think they have more portable toilets set up than Wrigley.

You'd need a child's lunchbox to be able to follow those measurements. I'm guessing everyone will be fine unless they try to bring in a damn suitcase.

If anyone is ISO this year's DL due to GA tickets, shoot me a PM and I may be able to hook you up. Our group has a total allotment of 8 bottles and I think only 2 are currently going to be bought.

You may want to dress like the Gortons fisherman. Forecast is a high of 49 and they are calling for an inch of rain Saturday.

This has the potential to be the worst DLD weather ever. Mid-40s, 19mph steady winds, gusts of 30, rainfall 1/2-3/4 of an inch. I get enough of this bullshit on the long trail in VT, might be an early afternoon exit for me.

Also, how am I supposed to get the full flavor profile of all these world class beers if they get watered down by all the rain?!

It looked like mostly gravel and pavement. Tons of port-o-poties, barricades and tents. It was kind of a cluster with the construction going on and hard to tell what the lay of the land would be. There's definitely port-o-poties set up at both the North and South entrances like last year.

I wouldn't say that. The two cases of ZD I bought yesterday were bottled 4/15/15. I assume they are stock piling a lot of last weeks bottles/cases on top of what they plan on bottling this week just to have xtra for everyone coming into town this week.

That means no Spotted Cow. Leave that shit in Wisconsin.
