Chicago/South Loop tasting group

I did not grab one, but hopefully someone has a bottle they can bring.

I think I'm going to tentatively plan on making this. Wasn't sure for a while but looks like I'll be free. Is the spreadsheet up to date? I'm trying to decide what to bring but there isn't much there to go off of and I like to help with variety.

 

@Billy_Bars and @fatdeets and anyone else joining us on Saturday. There is a little change of time. It will be 1-5pm at the same location. We will have more food this time.

And there really isn't a theme except for the loose idea of brining a vertical of some sorts, but that isn't mandatory. The spreadsheet is up to date, so as you can see there isn't a huge group this time. Just throw what you are bringing in there so we don't double up. I'll be brining some fresh beers from Orpheus Brewing and Terrapin Brewing just cause they are great and we don't have to always drink whalez at these shares...

 

Added myself to the list, thanks to the earlier start time I can likely stop by for a bit. I'll bring a JK sour and probably an out of distro IPA.

This is probably wishful thinking but any chance the guys at Gentile's will have the tourney on?...

 

@Raj, not wishful thinking at all. The is one TV so we will throw on whatever game everyone has got money on! Looking forward to meeting you and sharing some beers!

 

I updated what I'll be bringing for sure. I know I'll be bringing more, just not sure yet what I'll grab on my way out the door. I also may bring someone along with me, but I'll make sure we contribute a proportional amount per person.

 

I've added all my beers now. Can't wait to see you guys again!

Looks like you guys had some good shit, wish I coulda been there. Definitely next time! @AndyEdgar, I'm also Group E this year for DLD. I haven't figured out my exact plans yet but a coworker and I have discussed getting there around 10 or maybe even 11. Missing out on the early morning line bottle share I know but like you mentioned, need to be decently sober to make it for our bottle pickup. Could probably save you a spot if you're willing to get there later.

 

My wife and I and some friends will be driving and tailgating near the south entrance. Everyone is welcome to stop by and share bottles, eat food and hang out. I'll be posting more details leading up to and the morning of DLD.

 

Group E represent! My crew is getting lunch first then coming in after that, maybe around 1? Just came back from Portland so I have a few limited release Crux brews, bringing a St. Lam too otherwise I'm up in the air about what I'm bringing...

 

Group D for us, but will be tailgating starting at 8am. Bringing some Jester King, de Garde, Wicked Weed and HF... shooting for an all sour and wild lineup.

 

I know @Billy_Bars is popping his DLD cherry this year, think his group is A and B. Hope all you early birds are still coherent when I get there in the afternoon. Looking forward to no lines for guest pours come 6PM
