The biggest question is "where will the hot sauce be sold"? Merchant tent? Haha

Jimmy Dugan once famously said - "There's no crying in baseball!!!"....and under the fourth corollary to the transitive property on non-related topics, I suggest that therefore - "There's no whining at DLD!!!" Check my math, I'm pretty sure I'm correct on this one.

So - I'm going to dress for the weather. I'm going to meet and greet with folks from all over. I'm going to have a fine time, rain or shine, sharing pours of whatever the hell I decide to bring, with whoever the hell I bump into. And, yes, thank you, I'll try some of yours.

And, if you do it right, line standing can be a great time. One of the first DLDs, maybe about 2006(?), I got home from a bidness trip on Friday night, and decided to venture over to the fest. Lo and behold - Gumballhead, which was still a seasonal at the time, was just released. I got a pint of this delicious summer beer, and then promptly got back in queue again for another, as my razor sharp intellect told me that I would probably want another when the first was gone, and that the line was about as long as my beer would last. (And my math was correct on that one, too!)

So, I spent the better part of the afternoon going from the back of the Gumballhead line to the front, where I would then buy another Gumballhead, and then promptly get back in line again. I had a flat out great time, just sipping my GBH, and talking to the folks in the line.

    But I digress.

    There's no whining at DLD!

    Right.

For example, my backpack might be a bit taller than a milk crate but it could be crammed in to one. I am hoping there are no issues.

My favorite year on the threads was 2013- year of the "Can I camp out or line up early" which led to one entertaining gentleman who in every post he referenced contacting the Munster PD.

Merchant tent? I think you mean merchandise tent. Anyway the map pdf already mentions that the hot sauce will be sold at tent 4 by the brewpub along with the waxed barrel aged ice cream.

Is this empty or full? Can't see any backpacks especially those polar ones fitting into a milk crate with bottles in it

    Hi Brandon,

It’s not that they can’t enter through the North Gate. We encourage the split so that we can more efficiently get Group A ticket holders in the festival and in their queue line to purchase Dark Lord. We found that this worked very well last year. However, no one will get turned away from either gate. You might find that the line at the South Gate is shorter.

I hope that this helps. Thank you for your email!

The "Tent" across the street from 3 Floyds has a metal frame and is easily 30 feet high. All I saw was the shell that was going up yesterday evening.

Packing up right now..does anyone remember if the water is free? Need to know how much to pack and my bag will be significantly lighter if it is indeed free.
