I had a feeling Jim might change his mind on the Saturn. Was also surprised on the DCT, that he limited me to two, and then decided on one.

 

Thanks for the tip, I managed to snag Saturn after work, this is one I really wanted to try.

And huge ups to Bells on the price. $2/bottle for a BA Barleywine? From Bell's? We all know they could have stuck it in bombers & charged 4 or 5 times as much.

 

PLENTY of Sue and GNug left at Casanova as of an hour ago, at least 20+ cases. Also, according to the TG appreciation thread, this batch is more on point, so if you can stomach the $1.50 increase, have at it.

 

They had to make one decent beer worth the price in the series. It all evens out in the end

 

I've only had Mercury, & it was awful. I picked up a bottle of the brown last night too, so we shall see. I generally trust Bell's with my mouth.

 

I thought Mars was fantastic. The rest have been hit or miss. Venus was the worst of the bunch.

 

I venus and one other. Thought they both sucked, so passed right by this one without even checking to see what it was. Oh well, I still have a boatload of CWBBW, so I'll live.

They're going to have 'em for a while at those prices. They fit in nicely next to the $27.99 K is for Kriek and Hand and Seal. Saw $18 Brazzle and several other comically-priced bombers there the other day too.

 

Any idea if Zipps still has Saturn?

 

There were only two left when I was there 2 days ago, highly unlikely.

 

I was in about an hour ago and they were sold out.

They do have Castle Danger's Double Crossing in bombers though!

 

I wasn't surprised,its MGM. I ended up paying the $30 because a friend wanted it and I haven't seen it anywhere else in Mpls. They had a bunch of Brazzle still left and Pentagram for $24.99. Bad.

 

What's the price on that one?

 

I believe I paid $9.49 for a 650 ml bottle of this the other day.

Maybe I'm just slow, but it's the first time I've seen Fair State IPA, at Zipp's, $4.99/bomber. Nice to see a brewery (& one that I've enjoyed a lot on tap) come out with reasonably priced beer!

 

Thanks for the info, but too pricey for me. Would be nice to see it closer to the Fair State bomber price like maximum12 mentioned.
