Got my case for the bar a few days ago. Cheapest BABW I've ever seen, we can sell it for 4.75 no problem. Great value for the beer, my favorite so far of the series. Standard dried fruit (dates and figs), with a molasses/brown sugar sweetness, emphasis on the former. Any bourbon/oak is very subtle, balanced properly. Mouthfeel is the only part I'm not totally on board with, a little thin, a little effervescent. Great beer all around though.

I happened to stumble on a sixer of Saturn at my local grocery store in Cleveland, so I bought it. $12.99 !

So...was this just never released in the Indianapolis area? I know there is some in Fort Wayne, IN but nothing in Kokomo, Indy, or Bloomington. Yet, Kentucky got their shipment....what gives??

I thought Saturn was incredible, especially at 2.79 per bottle for a BA Barleywine. Instantly made up for not having any Third Coast Old Ale this year. Well done, Bells!

Any opinions on aging the Saturn? I bought two bottles and would like to save one to try in 6 months to a year.
I suppose all I can do is wait and see, but I figured a barleywine at 11.5% would be a good one to try to age.

I definitely plan to purchase the rest of them, if mostly for the caps and to just try them. At $1.99 a bottle, I don't see why not.

I've had the whole series so far...

    Mars was incredible.
    Mercury was whatever.
Venus was a bit of an experimental disaster, but still okay, I guess.
Jupiter was a pretty good brown ale.
Saturn was an awesome English-style barleywine. Glad I got two bottles. I'll be having the other in a couple years.

Loved Saturn. Can't wait to try it again with some age on it. Looking forward to Uranus too - loved Blakkr and I think this one will be along the same lines. But what I really want to talk about is Neptune. Anyone else thinking it's a batch of Black Note that they're sneaking in to this series? I sure hope so.

Would be a great way to go out with a bang, that's for sure... Black Note is probably first on my "want" list.
