How accessible is Bourbon County in your area?

It's not available in my area. The only Goose Island I've ever seen in New Brunswick was Sofie and Matilda and that appears to have been a one time thing...

 

I used to work for an AB distributor. We would get a boat load of BCBS... at least a few pallets. However, we barely got any of the variants. We would get less than 10 cases of each variant. When I went to make an employee purchase I was denied a four pack of the Coffee and Barleywine which killed me because I knew the guys drinking it had no idea what they were drinking, for the most part.

edit: funny part is that there are still stores around me with 2014 BCBS, and one with a few bottles of the BCBW

 

With Lagunitas Westified all over and so cheap, I really don't see the need for BCBS.

 

It took some work to get some BCBS,BCBBW,and BCBCS were all here in many bottle shops ,most shops had special release times/days with a 1 or 2 bottle limit later VR was more like a lottery to get that one Every year since 2010 i get less and less BC and its harder to get i have more 11,12,13 in my basement then 14

 

Eh, I know of stores you could probably walk in today and buy a bottle of BCBS if you want.

From what my rep told me, in my area, allocation is based on sales volume of the Vintage Ales alone (Sofie, Matilda, etc.).

 

You can get it right across the street from the Unicorn petting Zoo here.

 

Its pretty good, but there are plenty of beers on that level that seem way less challenging to find.

 

My stores seems to have maybe 4-6 GI products, and get in BCBS when its around.

We get it, but who the fuck wants to deal with all the Black Friday shit just to buy some beer? A couple Canadian BAs swoop down from the North and get most of my counties share. And, they're welcome to it.

 

We get quite a bit of the regular BCS around here. Less of the special ones.

 

Is Westified all that cheap? I don't remember the price point. That said, it's certainly not all over anywhere around here. Unless by "all over" you meant "your chances of getting it were all over within a few hours".

Some places yes but not all. Black Friday one place had them on the shelf but as a 1 bottle limit. At least 2 other places, you just had to ask to get it (2 bottle limit) and one place I was able to grab two four packs but that was just dumb luck it seemed.

 

Goose Island needs to replace their year round turds with good beers if they want stores to actually sell more. Their other beers are not terrible, but in most cases there are several better examples of the style available.

 

Philadelphia gets a decent allotment but very little variants.

 

I can still get some of the regular BCBS off the shelf lol.

 

Not accessible to buy, but if you have stuff others want then it always seems available by trade.
