New Tired Hands to open next week.....

I thought it was just Sundays, but I'm guessing @mfunk9786 (and likely others) would know better than I.

 

There's a metered lot right next to TH, and plenty of metered street parking. While not free, Ardmore street parking is way cheap compared to Philly.

 

Meters from 8 AM to 6 PM Monday through Saturday, free Sundays. Same applies to 2 hour street parking signs.

 

There's a parking lot kind of caddie corner to the original place. You can park there and walk to the new place then walk.

 

As an aside, I just want to say that I really like Tired Hands a lot.

This seemed an appropriate post for my 1000th

 

Hit up the Fermentaria at lunch today for their opening. Things were running very smoothly. A couple quick thoughts:

Pros: Bright, open space; gives us even more beer and more varieties of beer to enjoy; more taps = faster service; some familiar faces helping to smooth the customer service experience for the customers that have been around for a while

Cons: No bread and butter; I'm not a taco guy and the menu is definitely missing sandwich options; would have liked the new place to accommodate more bar seats (the total number is probably less than the combined number of the upstairs and downstairs bars at the beer cafe)

Overall it's a great addition to the Philly beer scene

 

I swung by the new place today. I wanted a growler for tonight and curiosity got the best of me.

I like it a lot in there. Well thought out floor plan and good but different feel than the Brewpub.

It was less crowded than I expected. Got a seat at the "Kitchen" bar right away. Had a couple beers got a couple growlers. It was nice.

 

Glad you guys enjoyed it, I'm looking forward to going! So, what's the scoop on the counter-pressure system that was rumored above?

 

Not an expert by any means on the tech, but is it possible to counter-pressure their swingtop 750s?

 

No counter pressure filing machine. Busted rumor.

 

Yup. I've seen machines that work on 750ml/32oz flips. No machine at TH though.

 

Is there a shortcut walking from brew cafe to fermentaria?

 

No real shortcut. Its basically the same distance no matter which route you choose. I always take the 5 min route though. Really more like 4.

Done getting a baby born, now I can get down to Tired Hands in the next couple days

 

Went there for lunch yesterday and it's a really nice laid back place. Had a couple saisons and took home the two IPAs.

 

They are expensive and Im guessing the money was better spent elsewhere. I've heard it could be something in the future though.

 

Was there last night about 6, place was packed.

 

Any veg options??
