Dark Lord Day (DLD) 2015

Bottle lines are getting ridiculous. Been in line for 2.5 hours. Not even inside yet.

 

I concur the line is nuts.

There was 1170 of VBDL

 

Vanilla and Cherry is 160

 

A very wet, very muddy day complete with all the glassware and a Vanilla Bean variant

 

The dark lord lines are moving slower than zombies on crack.

@JFMBearcat and crew are absolute rock stars. Anyone who didn't search this guy out totally blew it. Thanks for letting us join you today, had a great time.

 

Ended up with 6 bottles and 1 Vanilla between me and the wife.


Also watched this happen sadly. Cardboard gave out on the 4 pack...

 

Those hot sauce bottles went like crazy. Tried to grab one after my Group A purchase and they were sold out, which was around 11

Bottle stealing sucks. Rain and overall weather fucking sucks. No BA variant out of 2 people sucks. BUT DLD was overall a.....you'd expect me to say great success. Unfortunately for being my first time it's honestly a bit of a let down, considering expenditures involved, and what not. To that, many would say "you make the event fun yourself" or something to that extent, but really besides the trades and cool few people I met this was a pretty bleh event. Signed, bitter in Iowa (Indiana at the moment).

 

Someone stole my backpack with my 4 bottles of Dark Lord and BA coffee Dark Lord. It was fun but I'm bitter.

I think your feelings are understandable. This is my third year and it was by far the worst as far as the actual festival goes. The lines were stupid, a few of the volunteers were rude, and the organization seemed off. Oh well,until next year DLD.

 

Karma will bite them in the ass hard.

 

This goes without saying but that's downright ridiculous. Makes my criticism seem small and I feel for you. Fuck "certain people". This isn't a tooting of the horn but I found 2 lost cell phones today and I (gf and I) made sure both owners got them back. And then there's people that eye-hawk beer and nab it at a nice, convenient moment.

 

How much was the hot sauce?
