Our group arrived at 9am, and left at 8pm. Had a great time despite the weather and the swamp in the tent area. Group A line was about 30 minutes or so, and 3 out of 4 of us got variants. Shared some awesome beers, and all my trades came through. And no hangovers! Although I did throw up in a sink.....

We had a table inside the big tent closest to that row of taps and enjoyed those thoroughly! Didn't see a lot of people over there throughout the day either.

I got in line at 4.30 and still was able to get everything. They made a ton of glassware this year.

I had a great time with my group. Struck out for the 3rd year in a row on barrel aged variants but got our allocations with relative ease. Bottle line did take longer this year than last. Got to try this year's bourbon and vanilla bean variants on tap thanks to some other generous attendees. Only caveat was someone keying my car in one of the pay lots in the industrial park. So thanks to that asshole and sorry if anyone else suffered that same fate.

Just as a note. The police officers were in actual town of Munster, Griffith, or IUN uniforms. The private security people were wearing the yellow security jackets. The police officers were all pretty cool I thought.

Inquiring minds want to know - was this your year for a variant? I missed out, unfortunately.

Highlight of the days was sharing beers - tasted Mexican Cake and Sip of Sunshine, among others.

Someone else mentioned the Pizza Port beers - I thought they were killer, too.

How much did the goblets cost?

I came in the late afternoon and can confirm that most of the rarer taps were long gone by then; hopefully something they can/will adjust for next year.

Some POS tried to steal our bottles after E session when all my group was pissing and I was watching the haul. He actually walked away with a four pack and put the BA in his jacket until I grabbed him. It took every bit of will power not to knock his teeth out and get arrested. If there is karma...

    Honestly not sure. $20 maybe?

I bought 2 snifter sets (1 purple, 1 gold), a stein, and a goblet. Think it cost $70 for the lot.

It's possible there was some fest only stuff left over, which they might put on their website? I was amazed to be able to get the glasses late in the day, bummed I wasn't able to locate those DL taps behind the big tent.

Goblets (Schooner!) and steins were $15 and snifters were 2 for $25.

Nope. I am still on my variant losing streak. In his first dld appearance, @Joker5893 won. I was told I screamed much profanity upon learning this.

Not calling anybody out here, but there a lot of thieves at dld. When you get your Dark Lord, stuff it in your back pack and never put it down.

What does the VBDL bottle say on the front? All I can make out is marshmallow and then the next word I can't figure out what it is lol

Thanks to this thread I had a great 1st DLD despite the weather, it helped that I got some first timers luck getting there at 10:15 & finding parking right outside of south gate & getting in with no wait.

Some of the things I learned from this thread that helped were:
    - Brought a reusable grocery bag in my backpack cooler to keep mine & my friend's allotments in for most sturdiness
    - Brought sandwiches & snacks to keep us full in lines
    - Brought quite a bit of water with us
    - Watched all of our stuff like a hawk to make sure it didn't get stolen
    - Took glassware & allotment back to the car as soon as possible to limit the possibility of breakage & stealing

Got a chance to meet up with @chrisp450 for an easy IP trade, @Ncpogs hooked me up with a couple of beers that I wanted to try, met @bevoduz to exchange some brews & met a really cool couple while in the glassware line for HOURS plus a cool guy that gave my dumb ass a poncho because I didn't have one & he brought extra. Shared many beers & when I went to find bathrooms the 1st time I also grabbed a Boneyard Notorious & Sherry barrel Marshall Zhukov which were both really good. My friend & I went 0-2 on variants =(
Hoping that beer karma hits the douche that was in the glass line with us. After several hours we made it to the corral & this guy popped open a Prop flaunting it like he was the shit. The cool couple that was next to us in line has never had Prop & the wife asked nicely for a small pour & he said "what do you have for me?". As we wrapped around the next part of the corral & saw him again she explained that she had never tried it & really wanted just a tiny taste to which he responded "Fuck you!". Despite this douchebaggery there were a crazy amount of people in the line pulling out whatever they had to share without looking for anything in return. I'll definitely be looking to make a return appearance next year

This was my second DL day so both year's had GA tickets. Are the GA tickets encouraging people who don't have allotment to steal? Or has it always been this bad? I guess scumbags will always be scumbaggin'
