Yeah. I was able to grab a couple around 6pm. So not irritated anymore.

Folks, instead of taking pics 9f broken beer bottles, I suggest a new ritual... a group beating of anyone caught stealing at dld . This might curb the problem and yes, I believe GA tix are encouraging people to steal other people's allotment. .

At just about every major bottle release beer event there is theft happening. Hear about it every year. The event us packed and chaotic and most people aren't sober, which makes it easy for those trying to take advantage of you. I dont think the GA tickets really have anything to do with it. The kind of people that would steal from others will do it regardless of I'd they got their own allotment or not.

Also, @JohnnyHopps if you know of someone on here that stole bottles, no reason not to call them out. Thieves do not deserve the respect of anonymity

I also couldn't locate any DL on tap but admittedly was only there for a couple hours.

Got to try Surly Todd the Axe Man and that was awesome.

Most fun was in the allocation line. Lots of good people and sharing.

My wife and I must have been really close to you. That guy was a piece of shit. I thoroughly enjoyed the moment that his balance went to shit and he fell. He was literally the only asshole we met all day.

Bravo! And IMO, FFF needs to work with the local police to try and improve the security situation. Plain clothes, more uniforms, maybe rent-a-cops as well. However the downside of this is that, cops being cops, there would be a lot of public drunkeness arrests. And a shit ton of DUI's.

Or grant leniency if you beat the piss out of a thief caught in the act. I'm having a hard time coping with the fact I didn't curb stomp that mtf...

It takes a lot to get arrested at Dark Lord. Since 2008 I believe there have been less than 10 arrests at the event. 10 people out of a conservative 100,000? If the cops were truely being dickheads they would; arrest everyone who is standing in the street, arrest everyone drinking in the street, confiscate and destroy all of your alcoholic beverages during the arrest, write everyone who leaves bottles on the ground tickets for littering, tow everyone's car that sit in the lots after the event closes. All of the actual Munster police officers who work Dark Lord; volunteer for the work detail, are there well after the event ends, and interact with thousands of intoxicated people offering all kinds of beer that they have to pass on.

The taps seemed to rotate earlier on, but maybe smaller kegs for some? I had 2015 DL, Vanilla DL and 2011 DL pretty close together. Also got to try some Black Flame and Big Tiddy Assassin.

There were two tap tens around the corner from each other, but one had a line and the other seemed to go unnoticed. I had to go tell people waiting in line to check around the corner since the taps were the same and there was no wait.

Cops don't care about beer. They only want to drink the tears of innocent Americans.

I do not know somebody who stole bottles and I rathet resend the insinuation that I do. I was suggesting that people not put their bottles down. They are harder to steal that way.

The guest taps definitely seemed to rotate less than in previous years I've been in attendance. It's always an issue though that a boring tap doesn't get drank so it just sits there all day.

That said, it was clearly partly the fault of the people running the taps since I did witness a keg blow only for them to replace it with another keg of the exact same beer. (Penrose X, not a bad beer, but one I had already had that day). I definitely didn't see anything too exciting on tap this year for guest taps but I might've just had bad timing.

I was able to get Bourbon DL on tap without a wait later in the day and that was a happy surprise. I did not enjoy regular 15 DL on tap and I've enjoyed every other DL I've had. Hopefully time improves the bottles.

Counting the breakages because of shitty cheap holders, reduce all variant production numbers by 25%!

I made multiple stops at guest tents to see what was on tap....didnt see anything great at all. What time was CBS & Huna flowing? Wish i would have seen that. Ya out of the last 5yrs that i attended this years was the least enjoyable. I can blame 75% on the rain and mud which i know isnt FFF's fault.

I had Hill Farmstead Citra, Founders CBS, De Struise Panneput - Old Monks Ale from the guest taps, but I didn't spend much time there. Did not see Huna, but usually with stuff like that you need to get lucky, I got very lucky with CBS and people were ordering 4 at a time, was able to get one of the last pours.

I spent more time at the FFF taps where I had: Dark Lord 2015, Bourbon Barrel Aged Dark Lord 2015, Aquavit Dark Lord, Vanilla Bean Dark Lord 2015, Speed Ball, Big Freedia, Black Flame, Coffee Dark Lord 2015. Also saw Baller Stout, but didn't order it.

Highlight of the day though... Dark Lord Ice Cream.

Well in years past they have worked just fine. Rain + cardboard holder does not work at all. I was fortunate enough that as soon as I walked out of the bottle line a lady kept yelling at me to carry from the bottom not the top. Thank you kind stranger!

2010 and 2011 DL were on tap at the first tents after you entered through the north gates. I saw them make several more trips out there with 2011 DL.

Thank you man! Had a great time!

Sorry to anyone that tried calling me. My phone got super wet early in the morning and I had to turn it off.

Had an absolute blast but, man, did that catch up to me quickly. I was in no good shape by the time I left. Thank god I have good friends who were making sure I could still walk.

But seriously it was a blast. I wound up winning a scratch off and nabbing a coffee DL. Very excited to let that sit and bust it out on a special occasion.
