    I hear ya. It seems like you've got to let Abyss settle down 9 months minimum before you drink it IMO.

    Full Pint Tri -Ipa. Holy IBU's Batman ! Imperial ipa hopped 7 times with 5 different varieties. Smooth 10% abv

    Yeah, and by then all of the whiskey has faded, and the mouthfeel has thinned out. Meh, I'm done aging barrel aged beers.

    I was just in Milwaukee to watch Game 4 of the playoffs (AWESOME ending for Bucks fans of course) and beforehand stopped at BEST PLACE at the historic Pabst brewery. Had a Pabst with my buddy and I gotta tell ya, it was better than I anticipated :-)

    I also agree! I've been searching for a better specimen, but still haven't found it...Backwoods comes in Second though.

    Fair enough. I guess I'm still a bit bitter about aging a TON of barrel aged beers, only to have everything I love about them disappear. I'm in the process of moving so I had to drink that Abyss right away. I will grab another and let it sit once I settle in. Cheers.

    It is that good, 12 % that is well masked and sweet bourbon on the flavor and balanced to perfection. You won't noticed you killed it until you try to take a sip and it's gone!
