So called connoisseurs are the ones paying $400.

Yeah, I think the problem is that spicoli is right; it's a great investment from a financial perspective. However, it's also a bad idea in the long run, because what's to stop FFF from raising ticket prices and bottle prices significantly every year? If someone should make lots of money off of a highly-desired beer, why shouldn't it be the guys who make it? This is the same thing you run into with Prop each year, with greedy store owners selling $25 (or whatever they were) bottles for $50-70 as soon as they get them.

Correct. It doesn't upset me that people sell their bottles, because I'm resigned at this point. However, it sucks from the perspective of the hobby. I've got a bottle of BCBS Rare that I'm waiting to drink, and I wouldn't sell it for anything below the price of a car, because I'm not in the hobby for money. Can't blame other people for not feeling the same, though.

i'm hoping it falls into the 1/8th of dank model the pricing is stable at $50 pretty much forever. by corollary, dark lord variants, the headiest of the heady, cannot cost more than $50, ever.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd say giving in to black market prices is capitalist as well.

Curious, did the handwritten BA variant name rub off of anyone else's bottle? Mine has no writing on it, but I know it was coffee when I bought it.

At least I am pretty sure it was coffee. It was a long, dark, hazy day, man......

Simple solution - have two pieces to be torn off your pass. One to get a Golden Ticket, one to get your Dark Lord. Can't be too much more to produce the pass like that.

Did you taste any bourbon? Both my friends and I had it at the same time and none of us could. It was my first taste ever of any D.L. do I had no reference to compare it to, only it didn't taste like any R.I.S. I've ever had, so sweet, I wonder if it was actually bba?

It wasn't a strong bourbon flavor, it seemed smoother than regular DL to me.

Mine was about half rubbed off by the time it took me to get to my car from the door. I can barely make out an "FEE". I know its coffee though, so that's all that matters.
