Anyone know if the UdderLove and Melrose are getting distro to their regular accounts?

I called both locations and couldn't get anything better than a "ummm.... i think so"

Should be, but heard they didn't bottle as much and put more into kegs this batch.

My local said they should be getting a case each this Friday.
I just picked up my allotment this morning straight from the source. Done deal.

Bud, I have to disagree to your disagree. In the past 6-9 months I've come across many people in OC and LA that hasn't heard of Beachwood BBQ, or heard of them but never been or had their beers. I know everybody here on the page and most who post here in the Pacific forum has heard of them and had the beers. I've been over to Three Weavers, El Segundo, down to Barley Forge and even Bottle Logic. Now most of the people I have conversations with know of BW and been there. But there are still a lot that have not. I think some guys get caught up in the own local Brewery and that's all they go to after work or whatever. I'm kinda in that same boat now. I use to stop by BWSB 2 or 3 times a week. I stopped in today for the first time in a month. And only to buy bottles. BCB is my go to stop these days. Hell it's only 4 blocks from the pad. I'm in and out. Home safe. So I can see those who are just exploring the craft beer world having a local brewery that they feel comfortable. And sticking with that until they here about other options. There are a lot of newbies out there with a lot more brewery's to chose from. It's not like us when we didn't have to many options but BW, Noble, Bruery, Boot, etc. OC and LA is flooded with new brewery's.buve trading beers from the east lately and not many has heard of BW beers. Or want their beers for trade. And BWs bottles don't make it out of LA/OC area. But I used its all good. Better for us. Yeah when the big heavy bottles come out its harder for us locals to grab a bottle or 3. But I've seen people walking out with a case or 2.

I think the fact that they had one of the best nachos in the world caused the big boom the last two and three years. Now that they have gone to ghetto paper thin chips people aren't stopping by. Come on BW, bring back the good chips!

I wonder if I have made my point known yet that they destroyed their nachos...

If you are in SoCal and have not heard of beachwood, you haven't been paying much attention. They have won a handful of impressive medals at the GABF the last two years. I am sure tons of people have not made it to the brewery, or got a hold of a bottle since distribution is pretty limited. But, I like to think the "beachwood" name and its reputation is at least well known regionally.

Hey I drive all the way from Northern California to have those nachos! I do wish I had a time machine to see what the hype is behind those nachos you speak of.

By the way, what are the limits on the bottles today?

I haven't been too fond of the food there, but I'll be damned if I don't try these nachos the next time. Blame all of you for it too!

I had the nachos in March and they were still the best thing on the menu.

They seemed the same to me as a year and a half ago but I could be mistaken. Haven't ordered the nachos since then. Was on a buffalo sloppy joe kick.

I think they changed about 1-1.5 years ago. All is the same but the chips. The toppings are still excellent but they used to have thick and crunchy chips and not these paper thin, the terrorists won nonsense.

Is there some kind of petition I can sign, or at least an email newsletter or some shit that you could put together so I will be alerted as to when, if ever, you have declared victory on this crusade of yours to get the nachos changed?

I've been to both Beachwoods countless times dating back to the first year of Beachwood Seal's existence, and yet I've never even tasted the nachos (I found my ham sandwich groove fairly early on, and stuck with it for years and years). Now I feel like I've been missing out on a big source of joy in my life, and I'll be damned if I'm going to try to plug in that void with some sub-optimal facsimile of The Real McCoy. Can you do humanity a favor and let us know when the good shit returns?

    First round is on me.
