A lot of the regulars/old timers weren't there for Oakquinox this year.

Being that it was a live barrel there could have been a difference between the top and bottom of the barrel. I didn't get the beer until 20 or so minutes before it kicked. When did you get your sample?

Within the first 15 minutes of the fest probably, and then again around 12:30 or so.

Whew, I don't know what beer some people here had had but I must have talked to at least a dozen people that all commented on the solvent flavor of the Agent orange. Last time I had it was very similar, which I assume is how it got its name.

I had L’Agent Orange during CBC Week, and it was straight up acetone, so I purposely avoided it at SourFest. Most of the other Cascade stuff was delish though, as expected.

It was obviously a polarizing (and extreme) beer. I didn't personally get acetone (but obviously many others did), but certainly there were overwhelmingly sweet and sour notes going on at the same time, which I think was the intent. Completely different approach than something like the elderberry or the blueberry, which were excellent. In my opinion, I think no other brewery brought more overall game to sourfest this year than Cascade. From Pater to Pink Pixie Sticks in the drafts to the bottle offerings there was something for everyone.

So can we safely assume BA IRS will make next year's list?
