SN, I need to make an epic apology, on a scale similar to that of an apology I make to my wife. Ok here goes, I must humbly admit being wrong Sierra Nevada Torpedo. I am sorry that I ever doubted your greatness. At first Hoptimum was all that made the grade and my only love Torpedo. However, that may have been a little know illness call Double IPA fever, which has been know to take over ones existence at times. Torpedo you are truly due all of the accolades bestowed to you. Just simply an exception beer at a comparatively pauper price!

I wonder how many Torpedos it took to sink this ship?

It did take a little time to grow, I'm a stubborn SOB. However, the relatively, most of all compared to the price, high quality is hard to beat. In other words, trying beers at leaser taste, for a higher price is hard to argue.

Best IPA for the price hands down.

I appreciate the tall boys, but four packs of cans is just not enough. If this was sold in 12 packs of 12 oz cans....oh man...

Man, that is an excellent point! Although, I think I'd be happy if the 4-pack cans were just the same price as the 6-pack bottles $ per oz.

Punctuation is not considered necessary in the keyboard warrior ethos. Then again, neither is capitalization, spelling, etc. Thank you to all that rebel against this tyranny and produce readable posts. I raise a glass in your honor.

I agree but until then I'll just go with a 12 pack of 12 oz. NB Rangers or Dales PA if I'm looking for a well priced canned IPA. I do love SNPA 12 oz cans for the beach though.

Anyone know if you can figure out the bottling date on Torpedo 12 packs? I have seen 12 packs, but haven't figured out how to check date. Awesome IPA indeed.

Might have to say Racer 5 takes that particular prize, but I love Torpedo. Sierra Nevada is a big part of the reason we are all here today celebrating craft beers, and they have definitely gotten several things right! The value of Torpedo is incredible. Plus the can makes it a go-anywhere beer that won't get skunked!

Man, around here Racer 5 is $11.69 whereas Topedo is $8.99. Torpedo is the best IPA for the price here, but I've been buying a lot more Racer 5 lately.

Great for the price, but there are better IPAs out there. I don't mean to rain on everyone's parades, but GF West Coast, BP Sculpin, and even Smutty Finest Kind are a cut above IMO. Also I'll echo OP in that if you have torpedo next to hoptimum, torpedo feels like water.
