L’deracola and Sans Pagaie will be the other two beers for Q2 preservation. Calling it now based on label shape.

Wow, I have a sour taste in my mouth(not the good sour taste) from some of the emails going back and forth with a person from the bruery.
I get it, I missed the allocation timeframe. My fuck up! I guess I have to look at this in a positive way, I saved 120$ on not getting 6 bottles :stuck_out_tongue:.
im just wondering WHY there wasn't a reminder email that didn't go out yesterday.
here's just one of the emails :

To my knowledge the only reminder emails we’ve sent out were in regards to picking up beer from the previous year, but I apologize if that’s not the case. Our sale periods rarely cross over into the next month like this one, and we’re always sure to include the sale period in the body of the email to avoid any confusion.
As I mentioned, there may be another sale, stock permitting, so keep an eye on your email!

Definitely not the case, they've been doing the "don't forget to order" reminders pretty regularly for a year or so. I'm not going to go back through my email and look at when it started or how frequent it is, but it's been a regular thing. This was also probably the shortest allocation period ever at 10 days, so it was odd timing and a short window, especially for people who might not read the forums and keep up on things quite as much.

It seems like a no-brainer to me to just open SitRwP back up for one more week to help out people who missed the window and continue building momentum for Terreux. I can understand not wanting to set a precedent of allocation windows being flexible, but opening sales late month and only doing them for 10 days is a unique situation anyway.

Pretty disappointing considering they always send those reminder emails. I typically don't even order my allocations until I see that reminder, but thankfully I ordered earlier this time for some bizarre reason. Sad to see the employees don't even know how these processes work.

I always buy when the initial email goes out. Just throwing it on the CC so there isn't any real benefit to waiting.

But there was a reminder email that went out the last day of the cr/m10 allocations. Yes?

I normally do not wait on ordering, life just got in the way and was going to order today.

My point is they ALWAYS send reminder emails, there was none yesterday and I asked why?
they sure do alot of email reminders of the anv party tickets tho..

It was about the short time frame on SitRwP.

Complaining about not getting a reminder is ridiculous. Reminds me of when I was a high school teacher.

I stand corrected.... in that case, there's really no excuse for dude not being more vigilant. They only relaunched the entire brand. I certainly got more than enough correspondence. Maybe I could understand a casual consumer missing the sale, but for you to be a BA "savant" that missed your whole first round of Terreux allocations (and then to come complain about how unfair it is they didn't hold your hand the entire way) is pretty dang embarrassing.

This is a club for grown-ups. If you can't buy your beer on time, it's your loss....

edit: I gotta add, this isn't an attack on @SUBER as much as general frustration with the level of entitlement of some of these Society members. I can only hope this will deter others from trying to purchase past-allocated beers, and will keep put an end to these monthly posts.

"Club for grown-ups"... You nailed it. You know what else grown-ups have? Demanding jobs. Children. Packed schedules. Moreover, for folks who have been members for a few years, they've become accustomed to receiving the "final warning" emails (literally, every single monthly allocation for the last 5 years has had a "final warning" email).

This is just another example (albeit a smaller one) of the deterioration of consistency and professionalism from the Bruery over the last 12 months. I just don't get it. To not provide a final warning email, and then to stonewall members the day after the offering ends, is not a pleasant way to treat your most committed, most loyal, highest revenue customers.

Fully admitted, I'm saying this as someone who missed out. I'm also saying this as a 5 year society member who really came to depend on those "final warning" emails, especially over the past 12 months as mid-month/out-of-cycle allocations became more frequent. To a very real degree, the problem is much less about this particular instance, and more about the pattern of the problem.

I don't understand what entitlement means in this context - customers have already paid a lot of money, for a product/service that has been represented a certain way for years, and now a part of that product/service changed with no warning. Look, I get I'm griping about what is, in the scheme of things, very minor...but FFS Bruery, just get the little shit right. Also, if my posting history shows nothing else, it shows I'm seriously irritated by the Bruery fumbling their customer service and communications.

I'm having another beer and going to bed. Bahumbug.

I mean, Even I wait for the "the lights will be turned off if you don't pay this bill!" from the electric company, I only expect nothing less from a beer membership club!

Just to switch gears. I got a more gthan satisfactory response about them sending me an extra Melange 9 instead of a fourth bottle of Chronology 6. So to say that their professionalism and customer service is sliding is off the mark. Granted in my case it was a mistake on their end, but you're shifting the majority of the blame onto them instead of yourself.

I'm a full time engineering student and work 40+ hours a week... I have very little free time, nor do I have a lot of money laying around for beer, but if an email goes out saying that they're going to be putting out sours in a bit (which I obviously want) I'm going to make sure and put aside some money just for that.

I work at Disneyland and I see this all the time. People spend A LOT of money to come into the park, and because of that some people believe that they can do whatever they want, whenever they want. Anyone who has worked in the service industry will know that if you give someone a product they will find a problem with it.

I'm sorry that people missed the allocations, what I don't get though is how people can miss a 10 day period to buy a beer, but can hit every archive sale that has the beers up for 10 minutes.

Generally I don't like to get involved, but since I have worked somewhere where people have gotten very comfortable and expect things that are merely courtesies, I thought it wouldn't hurt to hear it from the other perspective.

I get what you're saying: career job, wife, children, house, etc. Life gets in the way. When you get to this stage in life, time speeds up and things get harder to manage. Some people understand and some don't.

Thanks for your comments @petty_crimes i know I fucked up and didnt order in the short time frame, I said that on my first post...
For years I have received a reminder email on the last day of allocations. Can you provide a time when they haven't sent out a reminder email? I surely couldn't.
Yes I want the bruery to "hold my hand to order" if thats what you're referring to the email reminder. im not the only one who likes to see the reminder email. Hell, I get a automated reminder phone call from my doctor the day before a visit.
I dont know what you're trying to get by me being a ba "savant"? You can get that status in a month on here. I mostly lurk on the forums and that's what I'll be doing again.
Thanks for everyone's comments, I'll be at the anv party drinking the fuck outta sitr/peaches(hopefully its pouring!!). 3oz pour each time , I should drank my so called "entitled" 6 bottles( roughly 48pours) in about 2 hours, so say hi everybody:stuck_out_tongue:
Sorry if I wasted your guys time with my rant, i view the bruery with the most highest standards(beer & customer service) I would call myself a fanboy, but I think they dropped the ball on the reminder email. But its still my fault that i didnt order in time. /rant

I don't know how long you've been a member for, but if you speak to any number of people who have been associated with the societies since the pre HD years, you'll find widespread agreement with my sentiment. I'm not going to give you individual anecdotes, no point. You can read the threads on here and accept what you find, or not.

Again - a service had been represented and provided a certain way for years, and was changed with no communication. It's not difficult to grasp why this is frustrating for a long term, committed customer base.

I'll chime in, not to beat a dead horse, but to say that I don't get the outrage here. As adults we are all busy, yet I dropped $300 just to be able to buy future bottles, so it's on my radar as much as anything else. When the release email hits, I read it and either buy then or prepare to buy within a few days. We all have smartphones and get everything possible sent to them in an instant, to act like 10 days went by without it being on your mind at all seems silly. Maybe it's higher on my list than other people's, but it would seem important enough to anyone who spent the money to stay updated.
