I wish Wichita would get this but I'm sure chances are nil.

Wichita will be seeing Vanilla if they haven't done so already.

Just thought I'd check to see if someone started a 2015 thread for this topic already. Nope. STILL 2014. The horse is dead, buried, and rotted.

Well not specifically who. I meant did you read it somewhere, use a ouija board or heard it specifically from someone.

I was driving around my work area in the morning since nobody was at work to open the doors, since i had 30mins to kill! I found a local liquor shop that had some old stuff. Anyways, i saw they had Bourbon County Brand Stout 4pk for $25.99/ 2 cases left. Is that a good price? I've never got a chance buy this before. Worth the shot?

I saw it anywhere from $18( in 2013), ramped up to $20 to $24 for the 2014 release. So yeah, that price point isn't bad at all. That style ages well. Not sure if you plan to trade, drink, or age, but I'd probably do a case and call it good. Maybe hint to others in the area or forum so others get a chance

People forget the ABV, but I would get at least two four packs before releasing it to the hounds. It definitely has some trade potential still, so price isnt a factor for many. I went through 3 four packs like nothing. Now I sit on one single wondering when Ill drink it next.

ps, I tend to drink it room temp. Flavors just explode out of the gate. You are tempted to try a second bottle. I know the price seems step. But if you generally like Boubron barrel aged stouts, this one is a great one to drink now or age, and drink once a month*(like I did in 2013 with BCBCS).

I ration them like a mofo. I traded for six this year and I've only had two so far.

To add, most beer consumers are barely hesitant on $12-$18 IS 22 oz. bombers. Yet $26 will yield you almost twice this quantity for a decent "value" four pack of 12 oz. bottles. Consumers are weird. Value/Oz is never something they look at unless they are at sams club or costco. Not that you are a value drinker, but a quality brew sitting in the BA top 250 for years now sitting in four packs that in fact provides a decent value is a no brainer for me.

Am I alone in favoring Parabola over regular BCBS by a large margin? Really not even close for me...Parabola is so well balanced and drinkable (even w/o aging), while BCBS is just way too boozy - really dominates the whole experience for me.

If it's just the plain ol' BCBS, I'll be fine if I don't get any more. Still have one or two bottles and I don't really trade. Plus, working until 5:00pm today then straight to a thing.
