So I haven't had all of them yet but am wondering what everyone's thoughts are. Rank the Black Tuesday Series, 1-4 (BT, Grey Monday, Mocha Wednesday and Chocolate Rain). Justifications along with them would be great!

Mine would be: MW > CR > GM > BT

The only two I've had so far are BT and CR and I think BT crushes CR by a large margin. I've got GM and rum BT in my possession but haven't had either yet.

For me it is as follows:

    CR > GM > MW > BT

With that being said I thoroughly love all of them, and wouldn't ever turn down any of them. I would also put Rum BT between GM and MW. Haven't had the two Wine Barrel BTS though sadly.

<devil's ad>. all the acronyms only mean something to people who understand them all. if you guys mean to talk amongst yourselves only then i guess it doesn't really matter. if any of you are trying to offer insight to all forum members, wouldn't it be more helpful to spell your thoughts out? #I'dLikeToBuyA-Vowel.

    MW>CR>BT (have not had GM)

I just drank a '15 CR and an '11 BT over the weekend. In that fight, the CR definitely won out. CR had all the great flavors in BT with the addition of flavors that cannot hurt a beer.

Last month at the tasting room they had '15 CR and '15 MW on. Wife preferred CR hands down while I was the opposite. The chocolate and coffee combo in MW is so good.

Have 3 '15 GM's and a '13 GM on the way so maybe I'll report back in a month after I drop one of them.

    All beers from the Bruery...

    • BT = Black Tuesday
    • CR = Chocolate Rain
    • MW = Mocha Wednesday
    • GM = Grey Monday

Considering that all of the names were initially listed in the first post I would hazard a guess that no one is having trouble.

Interesting to me to see so many people ranking CR above BT. I just didn't get it, I guess. I was supremely disappointed with CR.

i got they were Bruery & Black Tuesday but guess i did not read the first post closely enough to get that it was only a discussion of the plain 4 titles there. i was getting the impression maybe some of the comments were regarding different variants/treatments. for example, in other circles / discussions, BT often = Buffalo Trace, CR= Crown Royal so on & so forth. but yeah, i should have paid stricter attention to the first post. carry on.:grinning:

For me the ranking would go like this:

Grey Monday - My favorite of the variants that I've had so far, and got to love the wax on them that smells of hazelnuts. This beer was what got me to bite the bullet and join the Reserve Society.

Chocolate Rain - My girlfriend's favorite variant of BT and a close contender for the #1 spot.

Black Tuesday - This may take 3rd place here for me, but that doesn't mean I dislike it. I just happen to enjoy Chocolate Rain and Grey Monday a bit more

    and finally...

Mocha Wednesday - I just don't like coffee so this doesn't really appeal to me.

I have 1 bottle each of Rum/Port/Madeira Black Tuesday, but haven't tried them yet, so they aren't included in my ranking.

GM, MW, BT, CR. Really close between GM and MW, CR was just too damn sweet
