Hey folks. I've never visited NEBCO before and am looking for some info. I'm planning on visiting a friend in Brooklyn later this month and will be leaving Rhode Island on a Friday afternoon. I'm hoping to be at NEBCO when they open at 3:00 PM (according to their website) in order to get a couple of growlers to bring down. Is this the type of thing where I should expect a long line outside of the brewery prior to 3:00 PM? I'm guessing there will definitely be some folks, if not quite a few (especially considering that I am likely going on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend). How long in advance does a line start forming? Any info for those of you that have gone down there, specifically for 3 PM on a Friday, would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

I have been on a random Wednesday and Thursday, each time around 2 or 2:15 and was within 5 people of door. I prefer this wait and getting filled/paid in under 10 minutes. I assume the Friday of your trip will be busy with people on vacation, moreso if something special is on tap. Think earlier the better so you can be back on road by 3:15.

It really depends what they are pouring. The never announce anything until last minute. So check their facebook and see what they have on the day before. If they have locust, coriolis or supernaut then expect a decent line. If by chance they have ducks on the day before expect a long line, like 1-2 hour wait. Gandhi sometimes draws a crowd but it really isn't to bad. If just the regulars are pouring like sea hag, 668, one of the fat-tener series you will probably only have a 10 minute wait. It is good to get there at open, because sometimes you can get lucky and they might tap something good or possibly have bottles which the have not done in awhile. Like i said they have not been announcing much until right before open.

I go on Fridays after work, usually arrive around 5, and the line is not bad at all. Usually a 15-20 minute wait which just means more samples of the beer!

Was just down today, arrived at 3:05, almost 40 minutes to get through the line.

Spoke to the owner, they are doing a tap room conversion. If all contractors are lined up, will be shutting down this Saturday for approximately one week. That may screw up your plans.

Good news is that 12 tap system being installed, should be much more efficient experience. Also, new liquor permit pending for the Fall, will be approved to sell full pints.

Drag. Glad to hear about the news tap system, but a bummer that they may be closed at the time I'm passing through. Thanks for the heads up my friend, I'll keep an eye on the situation.

    Salute!

    $8 for a 32ounce, $16 for 64 ounce

There fill prices are pretty standardized... Lower abv $6/$12; higher abv $8/$16

I'm actually two hours away, but you make a solid point, it's still quite accessible to me.
