    Anchor Porter...oh how I love thee!

    This thing is packing some flavor for its small ABV format. Nice Fruity Esters and roasted Malt Complexity. Even a touch of spiciness that evens out the malt sweetness. One of my favorite Porters!

    I first tried this a few months ago, simple packaging always catches my Eye. So when I got home poured it...smelled it...tasted it! I was like "Where have you been my whole life!" I just recently started seeing Anchor around my parts, but I will slam this brew more often. There's nothing Negative I have to say about it!

    I have been enjoying this great Porter for many years and it always tastes so roasty and delicious! We have a great local porter readily available as well (GLBC Eddy Fitz, another great one!), so I dig the "dark side"! Your post reminds me I need to pick up some more of the Anchor Porter, soon! Glad you liked it!

    Anchor is one of my all time favorite breweries, and put out some awesome brews....have for decades!

    I actually like Anchor's Porter more than Eddy Fitz..(Blasphemous I know) if this was the same recipe back in 1974, I would've been crushing this everyday!
