I quite enjoyed this when they released it. Only picked up a single 4 pack though, and I think I sent two of them out. This year was the first time I tried it, though I know they've brewed it before

#VBS, thanks Nick, @PA-Michigander conducted a sneak attach and set this landmine in one of my boxes from the Share. But, I overcame! It has been disarmed and enjoyed.

I was mentioning to @PassMeAZima tonight that I would like to see a share happen in our neck of the woods and so, if anyone is interested, I would be happy to welcome some BAs to my Kentucky home in the first few days of July (say July 3-4). Not sure if the dates can work for anyone but BM me if interested.

It's the the one they say is definitely whaleish. Fwiw, I've had it and I've had DBH (not at the same time). I'd put them in similar company. I would put it up there or better than the big whalez I had two days later at Huna Day (CBS, SR-71, DB Cake, a million different huna varieties, etc).

Worth a big sour? I haven't had them, so NFC. If all else fails I'll bring Thursday itself to a locals share, so no worries!

Haven't had the chance to try Abraxas yet, they did start distributing here recently though so should be able to track it down next year

Hunahpu for me... makes sense now why I traded my Abraxas to @UcDru for Huna

I've had the cake and the Huna (14). Huna had a bit more age on it, but when I had the cake (Nov), it had the perfect amount of heat. I have an Abraxas that I'll have to open soon too, and then maybe I can weigh in...

BTW--I'm finally catching a break from work (300+ hours the last three weeks) and will be packing a few boxes this week. 1 to a regular trade partner (not in this thread), 1 to a dirty reb--totally unsolicited and unexpected (I hope), and maybe one or two more (might as well re-ignite this battle now that the north's bottle share hangovers are subsiding...).

Speaking of... I have a 14 Huna and a 1 month old Square Grouper... Both delicious beers, but both #notlehighfresh. I have too many other tasty beverages in the fridge right now and I'm afraid it will be a while before I get to these, so I'd rather someone else enjoy them while they still have some life left. Shoot me a quick BM if you know a deserving or desiring Local who would like to drink my #stankystale brews. Should the recipient be a dirty southerner, then rest assured these will be the core of a rather dubious cluster-bomb. Or, if they are just too damn #oldassbeers, then I'll choke them down this weekend...

18, pretty damn good for the price. The interesting find is the Ealanta next to it. Not really scotch like, but truly special.

You're on my list now, no takesies backsies.

Will you post the link again please?

Wait... what is wrong with #notLehighFresh Huna? Does it fall off after a while?

And I think the adjuncts in most adjunct stouts fall off after a while. In Huna's specific case I think the heat is the most noticeable change. I haven't had Huna so I'm sure somebody else can clarify/expand/correct.
