And a great BA'er such as @edhizdeid had gifts of beer waiting my arrival. Here's a pic of said beers plus a few from a small haul from his side of KY.

That's pretty accurate, I know Mexican Cake even says on the bottle to drink it fresh. With that said, it's significantly less important than with an IPA.

Not your fathers root beer, is that readily available in Maryland? If I take a trip to state line will they have it?

So how does the wish list work? In terms of fulfilling them.

I don't think I saw it there last Saturday, but even if my memory is accurate that doesn't mean they haven't received it since. I do remember one of the MDers buying it not long before the share, so maybe they can point you to where they got it, @_RL_? @heystevec? @Devman171?

If you can tick a Want on the list, ninja a mfer.

Send @Kylo76 a message, he's running that show and will give you shipping info, etc. if you can hit a wish list item for someone.

FedEx reports an inbound package from an Ohio address I've not seen before. Would any of you Yankee bastiges have anything to do with this??

It has been spotted in Towson Total wine, another shop @heystevec found, and @_RL_ got it at perfect pour

I was hoping to not have to drive so far into Maryland. Shared one bottle with some friends last night and it was AMAZING.

Wish List has been around for a couple months I think. It's the spreadsheet linked above, contains some members top wants and ninjas fulfill then if they can. No idea where in the thread the OP is lol

    Sorry, late night typing...

Huna changes with time. I've only had the 14, and fairly recently, and there wasn't much heat, but it was still tasty as hell.

#stankyassnotlehighfresh was more of a tongue-in-cheek reference to the Square Grouper--about 5 weeks old (most recent batch). While it has probably fallen off a little, it should still be holding up pretty well. I've had my share and enjoy it. I wanted to share the wealth and send one out a few weeks ago while it was #lehighfresh, but I have been way too busy at work. Now I have a chance to send it out, but I didn't want to drop it on someone who wouldn't appreciate it with just a "bit of age"...

Same with the Huna--with the new batch out, I would assume most people are looking for the 15. I didn't want to send the Huna to someone who has his/her heart set on the 15 (unless of course they wanted a 14 too to compare).

Plus, The wife was pissed a few weeks ago when she went to put some taco dip in the basement fridge and there was no room...:flushed:

I've gotten a few unsolicited trade/gift boxes since then and seriously need to make some room quickly. She has a "book club meeting" at our house next week :grimacing:, and there had better be some space for her crudites...

Last year the two batches of Huna even varied in terms of heat. I found the first to be more chocolatey and balanced while the 2nd batch had significantly more heat and cinnamon. I haven't tasted it with much age on it but for me the 1st batch drank great fresh so I didn't want to age it. The 2nd batch had I not traded all of mine away to others I think I would have preferred some age on it to subtle the chili and cinnamon.

Here is the wish list doc, if you want to fulfill anything let me know I'll send you the address. All wishes is yellow have been fulfilled.

Another thing is I may have missed a couple wishes that have been fulfilled on the list as life has been crazy for me lately and I've been really sick and always dealing with a sick little one. Let me know if you see something from your list or someone elses that you know you've sent or been sent.

For me it is Huna > Abraxas > Mexican Cake (It's rare that I've actually had all that we are comparing).

I'm not a huge spicy beer person, so I like the balance on Huna and Abraxas (which are close in my mind) over the more intense Mexican Cake. However, I could easily see someone saying they like Cake better if they are into that type of thing.

Do the BA versions need to be consumed fresh as well? If I were to chase BA Abraxas, would a 2013 or 2014 do or should I be waiting for the next release?

Have not had the pleasure of enjoying BA Abraxas but DBH was pretty outstanding when I had it last fallish.
