    You might have parked in same business lot that we did. We ended up setting up a canopy next to entrance of said business to keep the wind and rain off of us....til we got in the lines anyway.

    VBDL is sweet as F***. It tastes good but I wish I grabbed the 2 year barrel variant or coffee instead. Hoping the base beer isn't as sweet as VBDL.

    You tried VBDL before trying a regular DL first? :confused:

    Is it weird I went to DLD without ever trying DL or any three floyds beer for that matter.

    Yes, extremely weird. Nobody does that. Ever. People try VBDL before ever trying its boring base beer all the time. I was gonna advise him to be a little more original next time instead of conforming to the 'norm'.

    DLD was absolutely amazing! I wish people were that good all the time. I brought some great beers, and was rewarded ten fold in the bottle shares. We met amazing people from the point we got to the hotel. Honestly people that my buddy and I will stay in contact with for a long time to come. The kicker? I got a "No" on my golden ticket, and the guy behind me gave me his. I wish I could remember his last name. First name Dave, and I shared some Parabola with him. I don't know how many of you guys I bumped in to, but the whole vibe, and the people made me want to come back as many times as I am lucky enough to get tickets. Either I get along much better with drunk people, or I just live around a$$h*les

    My only "bitch" about DLD this year was the weather. No one seemed to want to stop by our car/canopy right up from the entrance on the north side so now I have a shitload of beer left that I was gonna share and trade! (c:

    I think the weather was one of my favorite parts. Like a rite of passage. All the drinking helps, too

    It wasn't intentional lol. I went to one of the taps and it was only labeled "Dark Lord" on a piece of tape. I come to find out it was '15 VBDL.

    2013 = perfect sunshine, 2014 = sun early/wind all day/cold as balls later on, 2015 = cold and pouring rain, 2016 = BLIZZARD

    You obviously have no idea what you're talking about. There's a foolproof way of knowing the weather month's in advance and its never wrong. The residents here in KY value their farmer's almanac more than the good book itself. Rumor has it the farmer's almanac in Indiana has actually predicted the correct Dark Lord variants for the past 3 years in a row :astonished:. 2016 is supposed to be cloudy, high of 57 with 100% chance of high winds combined with extreme high and low pressures. Tornadic activity is guaranteed which is why I already have one of these on order. It honestly might be the best DLD ever.

    P.S. the blizzard won't be until 2017

    Now that I've marinated on DLD '15 I gotta say, in spite of the weather I enjoyed myself. Visited the brewpub Friday...stayed at the Hampton - Munster and enjoyed lots of bottles from southern BAs. Dressed for rain and headed over at 11. The pulled pork sandwich from the charity at the north entrance made me last the day. Also ate some wings with DL hot sauce. Posted up inside Big Freedia's tent with some fellow BAers and didn't leave until my group. Shared some fun bottles in there; drank the FFF taps just to the south of that tent (Horny for Blood was the best IMO). Great bottle shares in group D - I poured for people up and down the line on each side of the switchbacks. Got bottles and went back to the BF tent. Watched Big Freedia - impressed. Caught a little of CoC, then back to the hotel...will try to repeat. Taps I enjoyed: SSMF, Baller Stout, DL '15, BADL '15, Permanent Funeral...walked past guest taps on the way out...I would go again even if GA.

    According to that it will be the last DLD ever too since the tornado will destroy FFF

    Yeah - wearing the correct gear makes it a non issue. Then you had ladies wearing toms, jeans, and hoodies... (brilliant).

    Why are you talking about Drie Fonteinen in the FFF thread?
