Based on beermenus, I would head to Jimmy's #43 by Astor Place. As of yesterday, they are pouring: Hop Showers, Motueka, AGE, and Laatse Ronde.

I just killed my last GD can yesterday. That was from the 2nd release. I thought it held up 80-90%. I am awaiting the latest GD, Citra & Nelson cans to arrive at my front door today. Never had OH Citra and Nelson. Looking forward to tasting those 2. Was hoping for AGE and Mosaic this time around, fingers cross my trade partner comes through. It's a 50/50 shot. If not, no worries. I'm sure AGE will be released again sooner than later. Where did you guys find these Brewers from OH?

I'm in the same boat - I still have Citra and Nelson to drink and a bunch of VT stuff I just brought back as well. I'd like to get a single 4 pack but it seems silly to go wait in line for that, and any more than that would just mean having too much perishable beer for the time I have to drink it.

If anyone not getting the full allotment wants to snag an extra 4 pack and trade it for a KBS or BCBCS 4 pack, hit me up!

I plan on heading over around 11:30am tomorrow. Definitely not lining up before they open, as there's never any need to. I think the Bullfrog release will help ease the crowds a bit for AGE. I also think the 4/4pack limit will help it last until late afternoon.

Wow, we really are in the same boat, as we clearly already both overindulged on those two beers as well. Did you also used to put way too much food on your plate whenever you went to a buffet restaurant? Eyes bigger than my stomach, I say.

I'd consider The Jeffery, Valhalla and Beer Culture first.

people in NY your comments mean nothing. We all cant just jump on the L and be there real quick. My comment was made for the sake of argument to @jrnyc post. If people load up on a limit, so be it, but always remember their could be people behind you who get shut out, leave some behind and share the love. They will make more. . Im all the way out by Easton PA. Do you even realize what the cost is for gas / tolls / and amount of time spent going back and forth? I guess not. For anyone traveling a decent distance it does not make any sense to not load up. @MisterBisco your comment makes no sense haha how would I be wasting my time? or how am i wasting my money? is it going to go bad if I dont drink it in a week or 2? haha Will I have to throw it all away then?

To tell you the truth This will be my first venture to OH and I dont think I will be going back to the brewery for any can release. I just have to see what the hype is all about. There prices are crazy high. Just my opinion.

judging by the fact that folks are driving in from hours away, and people supposedly coming in large groups for this, even 11:30 doesn't seem safe anymore. will prob sit this one out.

Why not just go there on a day when they are not doing a can release if you are not familiar with their beers? Seems like a better way to dial in what you like from them and then buy growlers instead of cans?

I hope no one is jumping on the L either. It's a good 4 mile walk from the Bedford St stop.

To your question for me, your original comment implied that you were going to buy more than you actually thought you'd be able to get through in a reasonable time. If you plan on drinking it all, then obviously my point is moot - that just wasn't the impression your post made.

As a side note, I don't think anyone actually has a problem with people taking the limit if either a) they plan on drinking it all eventually, or b) they plan on sharing it with friends. I think what @jrnyc was likely referring to was the tendency that some (myself included) have of grabbing the full allotment (especially with a limited release) so that they don't have the feeling of "missing out" in some way. While it makes little logical sense, I think it's easy enough to feel like "well, they set that as the limit, I'd be a fool not to take advantage of the opportunity to get the most while the opportunity is there!"

Personally, if you want to buy the limit, drive down the street, and dump it all in the Gowanus, that's your right as a consumer (and it would probably improve the overall conditions of the canal). I merely got the impression that you were going to buy the limit because you'd feel like it was a waste of time if you "only" bought a 4-pack, but that you weren't actually planning on drinking more than a 4-pack. To that I'd still say, if you're interested in checking out Other Half, tasting their drafts, and walking away with as much as you reasonably think you're going to drink, it's not a wasted trip at all and you've saved yourself a bit of money.

You don't care what the NY people think? You read this thread, who do you think is providing a lot of the valuable information in this thread? NY people, that's who. It is a double edge sword as we are fueling the fire too.

In previous post you said you don't care whether you drink the beer or not. So every beer you don't drink is one less beer someone else who could have got it could drink.

As you travel from Easton to Brooklyn, how many great beers will you pass by to get to OH?

I hope you come and enjoy the shit out of the OH beers, been going to the brewery since day one , thrilled that these guys have hit it big. But forgive some of us locals, we never had to wait in line to get the beer. Now we have people coming from all over the place scooping up the beer. I wish I could jump on the local subway, door to door I am looking at close to 2 hours.

Safe trip, enjoy the beer, great brewery. Cheers!

Make sure @RETEP84 doesn't read a couple pages ago about All Green Everything being available for growlers at Whole Foods just a short drive away for ridiculously cheap. That will be our little secret!

If you do end up driving up from PA, can I recommend taking a little detour after OH and checking out both Transmitter and Big Alice in LIC? Not too far out of your way and they are doing some great things as well.

Ok so let me clear a few things up. I made the post because Jrnyc post rubbed me the wrong way and then Misterbisco had to chime right in.

Greasergreg - sounds like a good Idea, but Im not a fan of traveling to or into the city since it s so expensive. travel time /gas/parking/tolls you get my point. I can get great beer on tap 2 miles from my house for unreal prices. Solid NJ beers Carton /Kane

I am actually splitting with a buddy anyway, but wanted to voice my opinion since im sick of people talking about you should do this or that. get full allotment blah blah blah. Just let it be. I will say it is disappointing when people are muling

and yes it is a waste of time to go all the way there for 1 -4pack. Man you just dont get it. Who goes anywhere and "walks away with as much as you reasonably think you're going to drink" Have you been to VT? do you go up and say well let me just get 1-4pack of heady and 2 growlers of HF? and drive back home 6 hours hahah come on.

come on jrnyc really thats what you go out of my comment? I dont care what NY people think? Thats why Im reading this thread. For the info!! but when you start to tell people your opinion on what they should and should not do. Thats a little overboard. Who doesnt drink every beer they get? I dont care if that can gets to be 3 months old I will still drink it. I dont know how many great beers will I pass? I dont care Im only interested in trying this beer. I apologize I didnt realize you were 2 hours away as well.

Thanks but Ill pass on Whole foods. Ill take the cans. I hope I enjoy. Safe trip to you as well.
