Sixpoint Jammer Gose (May 2015)

Jammer is like the AAA prospect that needs another season in the minors before getting called up. Westbrook Gose being the perennial All Star, future Hall of Famer

 

I like it.

 

Got a sample can from a Sixpoint rep and tried it last night. I hate sours/salt/gose styles so I didn't know what to expect.

I enjoyed it. No sourness to it which is great. Smooth, not really salty, and I liked the coriander finish. Good beer to have on a hot day. Good job again Sixpoint.

 

Tried my first one. Very mild in all areas, but I get a bit of each component. I liked the tartness of Victory's gose, but this one went down easier. Not bad at all.

 

I disagree with the analogy but, to each their own. I think Westbrook Gose is a fine beer, however, Sixpoint is not trying to make Jammer the same as Westbrook Gose. If they wanted to, they definitely could. Jammer is a much more subtle and refined experience. Can it be fine tuned, absolutely, but as @Sixpoint has said, it was not created with the intent to make your face pucker.

Two different beers and drinking experiences, both of which I enjoy for what they are.

 

Just picked one of these up today, very excited to try out another Gose!

We used to make a Gose like the ones you mentioned a few years ago - we just evolved from there ;-)

We already did the sour/salt bomb (been there, done that) many years ago. So we decided to take things in a different direction. Thanks for noticing!

Just picked up Abigale today ..... when I see this one I think it will be my first taste of a Gose!

 

I'm having it tonight, but I know it will be on par with the rest of your brews!

 

Sixpoint killed it! It is an excellent beer. I wish I had picked up more than just a six pack. I may have to go back. I'm really liking the coriander and slight salinity. I love sixpoint. Never even had one mediocre beer. Every release is awesome. Sounds fan boyish maybe but IMo I can rely on sixpoint for high quality beer

Today I bought a can of Abiagle ... and a can of The Crisp and a Sweet Action to be exact in my mix an 8 pack I made ... but have not seen Jammer yet at Halftime otherwise would have tried, I'm guessing will see it soon

 

@Sixpoint. I was only able to get 1 case at my store and wanna be able to try besides offer it to customers. Is there any plan on other shipment coming are way?? Pleeeaasassseeee!!!!

I fell in love with Hi-Res,Plain Res and Bengali, and now seeing how cool Shane is @Sixpoint on here;ISO:Sixpoint indefinitely. My money will always go to the good guys over say someone *cough* at Alpine.

My local bottleshop owner tells me Shangy won't allow him to order any Sixpoint products. Says they won't send any further north or west of the Allentown area.

 

I love Sixpoint, but I have to say that I was disappointed by this and I'm sad to say that I would not reach for this again. Not enough salt or sour for me. Worst Sixpoint beer I've had.
