second pour of this gem I will still feel like a douche telling the guys I drank it because of the expiration date. Although, I'm fairly certain the two ppl I offered a bottle to were just indulging me because I was a guest.

 

I was gifted this and it is tasty so I will consume it with enthusiasm.

An offer for some trill? I would love to try some. I have a few beers worth trading or wait until something you want on the west coast. I tried to resist as long as I could but I am slowly breaking down.

 

Perpetual is often overlooked and under appreciated!

How was that first cherry beer? I've got one and yet to open it.

 

Wasn't impressed with that 1809 Berliner. Moving onto this one that's been on my wants list for years (assuming this is the same beer as regular Silva Stout which my research says it is the same beer with new packaging and marketing). And the verdict on this long time want: one of the most disappointing beers I've ever. Huge diacetyl butterscotch aroma and flavor. I don't know if this is a bad bottle or a bad batch, but surely this can't be how Silva Stout got it's glowing reputation. Turns out to be a drain pour, which hurts even more at close to $20 a bottle. (And for comparisons sake injust want to make it clear that I essentially never drain pour, 5 years and over 700 beers on BA and this is only my 3rd drain pour)

Honest to goodness this is one thing I love about beer. Unless it's a freshness issue two people can drink the same beer and have opposite reactions.
