To me, most of the beers listed so far (FW, Stone, SN) are great beers that I love, but aren't quite top tier. I hate to say it, as I don't like feeding the hype machine, but Heady, et al are a bit above those. Having said that, there are plenty of beers that I can get any day of the week hassle free that really are that good (anything from Barley Browns, Boneyard, etc), they just don't get packaged and don't see much distro. My advice would be to seek out local gems. I'm not too familiar with NH, but I'm sure there are folks making some awesome under the radar stuff near you.

Green Flash Soul Style. It's one of the best IPAs around and it's common and not overly expensive, too. Modus Hopperandi is my absolute fave, but it doesn't distro everywhere. Union Jack is another good one.
If you're looking for more pure bitterness, Sculpin is also common, but a hair pricier.

I agree, you can't go wrong with Sierra Nevada Torpedo.

The answer to the question is: Most of them that aren't seasonal [and released in exceedingly low quantity] or in limited distribution [as in available in one state only].

Kane Overhead and Head High. I cant believe these two IPAs have not caught on nationally. Assume its due to them not bottling or canning it.

I assume you get Sierra Nevada. Go buy a bunch of Hoptimum when it drops (assuming it's not already arrived). Great DIPA that is found just about everywhere.

Love that stuff, wish they came to NY

Luckily as others have said, there are so many good IPAs available most places, while I would definitely buy a case of Heady if I was in Vermont, there is really no need to chase or camp out for IPAs

Yeah, pretty sure the OP in New Hampshire can't get Modus!

Yeah, you kind of have to package and distribute beer in more than one state if you want it to catch on nationally.

I agree with this for the most part. But Hill Farmstead doesn't can of bottle any of their IPAs and most the big VT breweries that do can do not distribute out of state and they are all nationally recognized.

All of these are subject to you being in the distribution footprint. Trying not to repeat any of the examples above.

    Captain Lawrence Palate Shifter
    Sixpoint's Resin and Bengali
The Schafly IPA's are all great especially the Tasmanian.
    Neshaminy Creek's County Line
    Tallgrass's Ethos
    Surly Furious
    Laguanitas Sucks

    Seasonals:
    Surly-Abrasive,

Thanks guys, a lot of what is mentioned is avail and actually in my fridge right now. I'm going to pop your suggestions in my phone and def pick up some of those I haven't tried yet. Sadly, even though I'm in NH, beers like Heady and MBC are impossible to get unless you chase or camp out. I've never seen a MBC IPA in a craft store. Yes, we can get Mo and Peeper Ales but those just don't cut it.

Depends on what you mean by nationally recognized. Ask people in Seattle if they have heard of Hill Farmstead or Alchemist, I'm guessing most would say no. They're nationally recognized among beer geeks, but that's a relatively small group of people.
    Can't or won't?
