And I caused it! Woohoo! Come on, you -know- the second most boring was the time I went on a whole tangent about watersheds and their definitions.

Treznor: Making the thread more boring since round 2!

Thanks for reminding me about the watershed time. Now I'm really going to fall asleep.

I'd like to help but I'm watching a very listless EPL match between Arsenal and Swansea.

    Sorry :flushed:

For the record, I personally enjoyed the hell out of that, I love learning about random stuff. To @Dicers point, it helps me be right all the time! (I never said I don't like being right all the time, just that my post wasn't about that )

Actually, my rankings for the most boring topics we cover:

    1) Math
    2) Soccer :grimacing::grimacing::grimacing:
    3) Watersheds

At least watersheds are related to beer, so I'll allow it.

Being so into sports (esp. sports BIFs) in general it surprises me that you rank soccer so highly.
Thank you for doing this so I didn't have to.

Is The Locals finally going to be graced with a world class drunken rant?! :grimacing::grimacing::grimacing:

I've never been into soccer. I do watch the World Cup, but that is it. I watch pretty much all other sports except NBA. I included it because soccer fans are a sensitive bunch, and I figured that would get us away from discussing geometry symbols.

Soccer is just hard for some American's to understand. I mean there are: no commercials, continuous action where athletes are competing the whole match not just a fraction of the match, a continuous running game clock and a tournament that is the single most watched sporting event in the world. Sooooo boring.....

You drink a ton of beer when watching soccer, does that count?!

Really I think the hardest thing for Americans is that the top level of the sport isn't played in this country, and the best games are often on around 10 am (or I think 2pm). If top level soccer was on here at primetime, I would at least give it a shot. International soccer leagues are also run in a way that is different than we are used to here (tournaments mid-season, teams change leagues based on standings, etc.). All of this hurts soccer popularity here (and with me).

Plus, everyone knows hockey is the best sport.

Yea BPL match start times are Sat-Mon between 745AM - 3:00PM typically. I enjoy getting up and watching in the morning and many local spots even open up early for matches around here. What I enjoy about sports is being able to follow them. 100% of BPL matches are broadcast in the USA which is something that can't even be said for the UK.

I enjoy watching Hockey live but I am bored out of my mind watching it on TV whenever I can find a single game on much less a team I care about. Plus a sport that cancels a whole season can't be that great of a sport can it?
