What have you had that you enjoy from them? I thought the Pirate Stout was terrible (and the description made it sound soooo good), but would be willing to give them another try. We see a lot of their stuff down here in Eugene.

Not to mention that the two Alpines seem to be co-existing nicely. This why all the arguing over the name of a specific beer kind of confuses me. We can all play nice, as long as we all play nice. Add one bully to the sand box, and shit gets weird.

And the Seattle Epic jut moved into a new space, and added a kitchen. They've made their beers to pair with food from day one.

Didn't you just say in another thread that you had to stay home some weekend?

I've only had a couple of their beers but what I had from Valholl in Poulsbo is really good. Their IPA, Brew Bitch, is great. For some reason I don't read a lot about them on here. I think Three Magnets, a newer brewery in Olympia is making some pretty fine stuff as well. Snoqualmie also is a brewery that I think makes some killer beer that doesnt seem to make it into the conversation very often.

I had never even heard of Three magnets until today, and this: http://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/south-sound-trademark-kerfuffle.290723/

 Yep. Just this last weekend in fact.

Looks like I might stay home the weekend of the 30th and 31st as well (though that could chance I suppose).

Related to this topic... I just this past weekend stopped by Elk Horn Brewing and the new Sam Bond brewery tasting room. EHB struck me a completely forgetable, but the beers I tried at Sam Bond were another story. Highly recommend the Java Porter and the American Wry Redux. Even the Filbert brown ale was tasty and worth a try, especially if you're a fan of the style (which admittedly, I'm not).

I would add Bainbridge Island Brewing. I was there last month and was really impressed with the barrel aged beers they had on draft. All their beers are pretty good.

I think Ex Novo in Portland is still flying under the radar but making some great beers with a new head brewer.

Confused about the Breakside comments - nothing under the radar about them IMO.

I had never even heard of them, until yesterday, when the whole name issue came up. This is the downside of having almost 300 breweries in the state. Which also a big part of the reason I started this thread. I want to hear about all the breweries I'm missing.

I really like Three Magnets. I had to go down to Lacey for work a few months ago and made a point to check out the brewery before coming home.

We get a few of their beers in Seattle now.

I think some people are interpreting the question as "under the radar" nationally vs. our NW bubble. And then you have the issue of how well-known a brewery has to be to get on an individual's radar, or whether someone judges a brewery's reputation to be commensurate with the quality of their beer.

Honestly, what NW brewery isn't under the radar nationally? Hair of the Dog, Deschutes, and maybe Boneyard and Cascade come to mind, but that's about it. When I read the OP I understood it to mean under the radar, even for us. Through this thread I've learned about (or been reminded of) a number of breweries that have been under my radar, need to check them out.

Agree with most of the above but wanted to add Snipes Mountain and even Dirty Bucket. Both makes some solid brews.

Yes, this was the intent of my OP. But, being as how this isn't my first visit to this corner of the rainforest, I was expecting some, ahem, Wandering.

Or even regionally (as in West Coast). That was my interpretation, hence my Breakside comment. Ignore as necessary.
