Twin Cities Bottle Hunt

It looks like root beer. It's carbonated like root beer. It tastes like root beer. While a ten year old might argue with that sentiment, adults might argue if you told them it is a beer. It's fun to try, but I found the last 4 oz or so to be a bit much. If you see a single somewhere, it's worth a try.

 

I could down several of them quickly with no problem. I do not think it is as sweet as soda but it tastes just like root beer. I really enjoy it and will buy 6-packs regularly.

 

Same here, wife loves it too, it will be a permanent fixture in the fridge.

It's good. It's basically alcoholic root beer.

 

it tastes like a good root beer. you would have no clue it is alcoholic. then again it probably is not hard to hide 6% abv in a diabetic sucrose bomb.

 

it's out of lacrosse. last week in madison it was sitting like warm shelf turds at woodman's. i would not get thy undies in a bundle to try and stock up on it.

 

Sounds like good beer while grilling this summer. I will probably have to give it a try now despite that recipe. I picked up a Dawn of Aurora at Haskells WBL while debating on a sixer. They had plenty more and other noble star beers. That is just a great beer. Schells is just knocking it out of the park with these and the Stag line up. Thanks to everyone who posts about how good these beers are, otherwise I may have missed out!

I saw some at Uptown MGM on Friday,probably like $30 though.

 

Haskell's on Ford Parkway had quite a bit when I was there a few weeks ago, may want to call though.

 

I know someone mentioned France 44 had some Tilquin squared a bit ago, anyone know of any places in mpls or west metro that have it still? I've the regular gueuze a few places but no squared yet.

 

I'd love an answer to this as well. Squared was awesome.

 

I know it's a long shot, but I'm looking for Chillwave in the North or Northwest metro - preferably cold.
Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

I'm looking for something north of 694, and west of say...Central Ave., if anyone else has a spot they know of.

I know it's not considered "fresh" anymore, but I just finished my last one and it's still pretty damn good to me.

 

try mgm maple grove. or that haskells.
