That's actually a good point/question. I have never seen 400 people show up to a Tired Hands release. How are they going to enforce Believer's Club members from only getting 1 bottle plus actually enforce everyone else in the public sale line from getting only 1 bottle. They are saying 1 bottle per person per day, but really what is the enforcement here? I bet the public will be able to get back in line unless they're truly doing a license swipe/database record of every person buying bottles, which I highly doubt. Considering the public has been allowed to get back in line at every single previous release I don't know what is going on here. If Believers stand down to respect this policy of 1 per person yet the public is able to get back in line, yeah, that's going to create some pretty big resentment.

The people that will line up are not going to be hard to remember..

If you want to send your wife, girlfriend, boyfriend, brother, sister, homey, mother, father, or local prostitute back in for more bottles that's cool. Lining up a second time and getting more bottles is frowned upon.

And like I already said it would be cool if this stuff was on sale the next day it would not be a problem.

I actually would be very surprised if 400 people show up for a 1 bottle release. I'd be surprised if 200 show up, because I expect Believers will mostly not bother. I unfortunately agree that people will probably hop back in line and not be stopped from doing so, but I have a feeling that if they actually enforce the 1 pp/pd limit, it would possibly last until Monday.

And I'm still not clear on whether I can buy one Sunday and then get my reserved one another day. I guess if I show up that evening and they aren't sold out, I'll just ask.

400 bottles? Cool, but fuck that.

I might end up dismembering someone if I see someone cut or purchase then join a friend in line.

I'd rather not go back to jail/prison.

Slight threadjack but my buddy and I will be up at Tired Hands today and I saw their policy on only filling their own growlers. Makes me sad as I have a bunch of small empties from other breweries I was going to use for fills.

I noticed they will let you "trade in" your growlers for theirs. Is this a "no problem" kind of thing or is it "since you're such a whiny b*tch we will give you a growler to shut you up" kinda thing? I don't want to be "that guy"

If they have the stated policy, I would think it wouldn't be a problem.

I don't think it's fair to be dismissive of the question given that their stated policy comes with a little bit of attitude...

"We will continue to fill our branded glassware only, as we are STILL exceedingly proud to put our name on our Strange & Beautiful beer. If this is a very big issue for you, we will be happy to let you “trade-in” any growler for one of ours. Sound good?"

This is more what I mean. Their policy has built in snark. Any ideas?

If they have to check everybody's name this is going to be very slow.

I think it's great that they are actually trying to give more people the opportunity to get a bottle. I'm sure some people will figure out how to still get multiple tickets, Believer's Club or not, but hopefully this will dissuade some. The fact that it's only one bottle per person is also going to discourage people driving in from far away places and give locals a better chance at getting their hands on one. Sure I'd love to get six bottles of this and trade a few, but if I can get one bottle without having to wake up at 4 AM and everyone who shows up gets the beer, great. We'll see how it goes down, but I think these are steps in the right direction.

The staff will end up with half the allotment. Not saying they don't deserve it, but they probably should allocate some of every batch to the staff before deciding how much the public gets to buy. In fact it's kind of crappy if the staff didn't all get at least 1 bottle of all of their releases.
