My wife and I both really enjoyed it and she is particularly discerning and a harsh critic when it comes to stouts. I think a lot of the lackluster reaction was from those who had the earlier batches or those who saw Silva's prominent spot in the BA top beers list for years and were expecting something God tier. Cellar 3 also came across a lot drier than expected, with prominent red wine tannic notes that seemed to be off putting to a number of drinkers. I actually found that to be an appealing change up in an era of largely under attenuated stouts.

I had been drinking craft beer for a while but mostly Sierra Nevada and Lagunitas because of my living in Utah mostly. Then decided to start branching out and taking hauls home from road trips and what not. I picked up a Suede Imperial Porter from Stone. Everyone seemed to hate it but I absolutely loved it for some reason. lolz so theres my contribution

When I go to Red Robin I order up a burger and a Blue Moon, complete with the stupid orange slice. And they are delicious together. Yep, I said it.

Guinness Foreign Extra stout. I just feel that it doesn't get the love it deserves, a truly good beer.

    I'll second Smithwick's - I'll be damned if that beer isn't delicious.

I had an Alpine Ale for the 1st time this weekend. When I rated it, I got an outlier message that my rating was too high. I was shocked as I thought it was one of the better pales I've had.

Ditto on these save for Blue Moon. Sub Blue Moon for Leinie's Sunset Wheat.

I think most people stateside have only had it from a bottle. By the time it gets here, it is skunked beyond recognition; a lot of people actually think that's how it's supposed to taste.

From a can, or on draught, it actually is quite good for a macro lager.
