Thought of some more. Rogue beers. At least the mocha porter, dead guy, and the chocolates. They are all overpriced though.

I still like a cold Banquet occasionally. Especially the free ones at the brewery! The last time I had a Smithwicks I could barely finish it and was very sad. Probably just me, but seemed different.

Sam Adams beers in general seem to be written off all too often. It may be hometown nostalgia, but Boston Lager is a great go-to at places with limited craft selections (e.g. airport bars)

Hell or High Watermelon is pretty refreshing on a hot, sunny day.

Long time lurker. First time poster.

I love Boulevard Pale Ale. It seems to get no love on websites like this, or in the ratings. I get the impression that most people think it is just ok, or "meh".

I absolutely adore the stuff. It is just hoppy enough to have some beautiful floral notes, but not so much so that it crosses into IPA territory like so many other Pale Ales.

The closest for me would be SA Chocolate Bock. I was crushed the year it was replaced with that repulsive Cherry Chocolate Bock.

Apparently it's Hedgehog Brown Ale from Flying Goose Brewery. Granted I've only had it once and it is obviously brewed in small batches, but I thought it was pretty good. Maybe everyone else got a bad batch.

And AAL's. I'm about a third of the way through my first 30-pack of High Life. I appreciate most stnad-bys in this category during the yard-work months.

Baltika #9 is such a legit beer. Why would you get a 40 when you can get a 51?!

    All smoked beers.

In fact, I'm so convinced that the masses dislike smoked beers, that I've determined that when a smoked beer has an average rating of around 85, it's going to be awesome and smokey. When I see a highly rated smoked beer, I'm skeptical. Chances are good that it tastes more like something "normal" than it does a smoked beer...otherwise it wouldn't appeal to so many people.

Seems like a majority of drinkers don't like Liefman's Fruitesse, but I love it. Candy in a glass.

I had Lasso on tap not too long ago expecting an average IPA and really enjoyed it.

I thought Tiberian Inquisitor was delicious, and so did my wife, but I know most people hated it. One reviewer said it tasted like "fermented dirty underwear." I respectfully disagree.

Bells Venus. Not a world beater but I thought it was a solid entry in an experimental series.

Little Kings takes me back to my teenage years. The 7oz bottles of Little Kings were our favorite beers at the drive-ins. I can still hear them clinking under the seats of my '65 Chevy convertible on the drive home.
