Yeah, the Bourbon County I think 12 was my favorite, then 14, then 13. They were all great but subtle differences made for a fun, yet very drunk Sunday afternoon.

I usually drink my BCBS alone because I don't want to share, haha. I've got the same mini-vert I've been wanting to try so this is good inspiration.

 

The black has me kinda curious. I ended up "splurging" and getting a whopping 2 bottles for myself, a blackberry and a black. I'm just not huge on raspberry 90% of the time, so figured I'd go with the black as my second bottle. Then again, I probably won't get around to drinking either for a while

 

I'm gonna try and make it down there for one of them before I leave Minnesota. We should meet up. (though now that I look at the date, I may be in NC looking at houses)

FYI - avatar is now John C Pemberton who was in the union army then joined the confederates. thought it was fitting given my current status.

Just saw that Kane is finally going to start canning Head High in the fall. What locals are excited to start receiving Head High in some BIF boxes?

 

I was going to say the same. I also have an '11 but I have multiples of 12-14 so was gonna do a 12-14 and then later hopefully do a 11-15

 

On vehicle for delivery in Tempe and Houston as well as a package heading to the west coast seems to be a day ahead and is now set to land today instead of tomorrow.

Then, last night, was this #VRS (Virtual Release Share) at Crooked Stave



Pictured are Petite Sour Raspberry (left) and Petite Sour Tart Cherry (right). Both are phenomenal!

Not pictured were the actual release bottles, Petite Sour Blueberry (damn this stuff was good!) and WWB Batch 50 (Grand Crew Wild Ale Aged on Oak with Peaches added...some of CS's 'oldest barrels'). Not kidding when I say this was amongst the best sour's I've had. Great funky nose, perfectly balanced tart/funk/peach. Just enough stone fruit flesh to muddy the waters some. 5.0.

 

Well shit, you shoulda told me you were coming to the release, i would've said Hi!

That's funny...completely spaced my Denver friends. Also ran into my Casey mule at the release...ended up following him to his house and picked up that on top of my CS haul. A cool $600 later I'm trying to figure out how to sneak 5 boxes in from the garage without my wife seeing.
