MBG Summer Beer Fest lineup

Dark Horse tables were like Starbucks or McDonalds last year, you couldn't go ten feet without running into another one. Not that I am complaining.

 

It made it easier to get multiple pours of BBPt5.

Wish I had hit that Super Juice a little harder. I hope they bring it this year, along with Bourbon Barrel Homosapien Cherry Trip.

 

That's what I'm hoping for. Does anybody what remember what beers went quick last year? I get in an hour early and I want to make sure I don't miss out on anything.

 

I love the Smells like Hops and Smells like Weed as well from DH.
Those will be nice given the weather (if they bring them)

Difficult to remember. Super Juice was gone pretty fast. Smells like Weed didn't last long, either. BBPt5 staying on for a surprising amount of time, but it's not like it lasted all day. I think some of the fruit IPAs were pretty popular, too.

In all honesty, Dark Horse absolutely owns this festival every single year. They bring their A game each year, and they provide a measuring stick for the rest of Michigan's finest.

 

And Dark Horse is in. Looks like 51 by my count. Wow.

Quick question though: I'm trying to help a BA'er out by swapping my Friday tickets for his Saturday tickets, is it going to be okay if I try and get in when his tickets have his name on them?

 

I have done this before with no issue, but I would ask the MBG just in case.

 

Wow. What a list. Where is everyone staying? Coming in from Chicago, are people staying in Ann Arbor and taking cabs from there?

 

Can't wait for all that Dark Horse. I also just saw on Facebook Shorts is bringing Bourbon Black Cherry Porter, which is one of the few Shorts I haven't had yet.

Did anyone else notice that the Fall festival in Detroit is going to be 2 days now (according to the program)?

 

Looks like they settled on the Eastern Market location too. For the past few months any advertising for the Detroit Fall Festival had TBA as the location.

 

Jeez, gonna have to do some pre-planning on what I want to try. So much goodness on the list. The Eastern Market fall fest last year was cool. Glad they are going back to the same location, two days won't hurt either. Looking forward to lots of pumpkin, octoberfest, and harvest already.
