Check Twitter, Half Acre is pretty good about letting people know when they run out. They had 10 cases left in the tap room per their last post...

2 hour lines! Crazy but worth it, killed one howler already.

Me too. Wanna be friends? I think one dead give-away is when there's a child tagging along...at a fucking bottle release.

If my 2-1/2 year old could get me an additional allotment, she would be at every release.

I did see multiple growlers from other breweries get filled today at the release. You're good.

I got there around 9:00 and they still had maybe 6 or 7 cases of bombers but were not filling growlers.

I was just pointing out that he complained that the line was so long because of hipsters. I am kinda sick of the hipsters stereotype and I was pointing out that the crowd really didn't conform to the stereotype. Lots of people from different walks of life.

There were a couple of older ladies in line behind me (one was likley over 70)..they were kind of funny.

Did anyone see the guy that tripped, stumbled for about 15 feet before he took a big spill & roll, all while clutching his haul with his two hands? I tell you what, he might have gotten bruised up but he didnt break or drop a single bottle. I was impressed. He basically went 'fuck the body. Save the beer.'

You idiot. It had nothing to do with the kids. I just knew I had a limited window so it sucks when you see so much line cutting. That's all.

PS - there was a guy in front of me that did bring his kid, maybe 7 yr or so. To a beer release. And yes, he also had a friend come join the line after about an hour.

I got there at about 4:50 yesterday and left with my beer at 5:35. The workers were friendly as usual and doing their best to keep the line moving. The bottleneck is that they only have 1 register, I was thinking they could move a lot faster if they added another register or had one of those iphone credit card swipers. No real complaints though and the beer tastes great.

Well, after all the effort to acquire - this beer smells amazing but has a thick/sweet/syrupy medicinal quality to it that I'm not a fan of. Solid DIPA but I am a little shocked at the hype and difficulty to acquire. I had a similar "meh" reaction to Big Hugs. I guess Half Acre is just not worth the effort to me, but I suppose they deserve kudos for building such a cult following.
