I've been to Europe and Cantillon before, but didn't have an AmEx the last time I was there in 2011. And yep, all of our credit and debit cards switched to chip and pin earlier this year. Makes thing so much quicker up in Canada now.

Oh yeah, I'm aware. It's the same thing here in the states, I never assume anywhere takes AmEx and always ask. Surprisingly, it was accepted everywhere in Japan.

Just an FYI for anyone who cares, the list was the same as the pic posted previously except no Carnigan or '06 geuze as of close today. We'll be there again on Monday if anyone is around.

As was I. It's all good though. Pineau d'aunis was very good. My favorite of the day was Zwanze '14 though I'd say.

Well hopefully Pineau sticks around for a bit!

Carrignan will most likely be back, they periodically run out of labeled bottles of Pineau and Carrignan, or simply need to grab more from the back.

I was wondering if that might be the case. Although we had unlabeled bottles of Fou and Zwanze, so dunno.

depends on the bottles. The regular seasonals: Fou, Vign, St Lam etc are unlabeled, as are some Zwanzes, 2014 zwanze (Florian is labeled), Carrignan, 50N, and Pineau are labeled.
Trust me there are a lot of those in the back that sometimes simply do not have labels on them, or simply need to be brought up front.

The Florian Zwanze that we had was not labeled. The Pineau was though.

Yeah, none of the Fou we had was labelled, or the Gueuze I think. Pretty sure at least one of the Zwanze's was unlabeled. No method to the madness  Interesting that you thought Zwanze 14 was your favorite. I thought it was... very weird.

I'll be there Monday and/or Tuesday. Can't wait. Might need to split bottles with someone.

Was there on May 2nd; don't think it's generally going to be open to the public. Barrel aging and they're planning to move the keg filling equipment over. Current location will do bottle fills.

Was at the Brasserie on May 4th and ran into some people that had been at the other location May 2nd. Sounded like a pretty nice setup. Hopefully it leads to more production with the same quality.

    It was back on today...

Had a great time. First, quietly walking alone all by myself on the tour, then @adkieffer showed up and we ended up sharing a few together.

Edit: May as well keep the thread on topic...

Nice. I had plenty to keep me occupied, but would have liked to try it.
