Bruery 2015 RS/HS Allocations

Oh yeah, @RDMII hit me back with your address, I grabbed that shirt you wanted.

 

I got an extra tin for trade if anyone wants it too.

 

From my understanding BL still has a bunch of it sitting in barrels. IIRC, all of those barrels sitting next to their tanks are the same beer. When I asked about it during the anniversary event, they said they will probably do a bottle release of it as well.

 

You know I'm down.

 

So for those of us who didn't go, what is Flanders Giant? From a picture on untapped it looked like it's an Oud Bruin that was in bourbon barrels, but since it's a Hoarders beer, I'm guessing there's some sort of interesting twist?

 

Any Ducks fans want to wager a nice bottle or 2 on the series, pm me. Cheers

Fundamental will be bottled btw. Bottle logic has a pretty large barrel warehouse

 

Matt was walking around with bottles saying unreleased beer (I never heard hoarders, but it may be), 14%, a bit hot IMO.

 

When I was in line for the BT Reserve, Patrick was pouring it and he described it as an imperial Oud Bruin aged in bourbon barrels. I loved it by the way.

 

Apropos of nothing was good as well, haven't had much of the rare barrel stuff so I was digging it.

 

Someone on here said it was a new Hoarders beer, I think it was @tokimedo . A 14% ABV Oud Bruin definitely sounds interesting. A more cynical man than myself might question the origins of such a strong sour with a dark malt base, but I'm curious to try it.

It is a hoarders beer. That was one of the surprises for hoarders during the first hour. Reserve got pours because of the left overs.

Matt also said it was a flanders mixed with the anniversary beer.

I personally didn't care for it nor did the vast majority of people I spoke with (except @ivegot3Dvision) Although right now on untapped its sitting at just over 4 stars but considering how wasted everyone was yesterday I bet that is going to change.

 

Hey Josh,

As far as I know, Flanders Giant does not contain any Anniversary. I don't know exactly what's in there, so there's a chance I could be wrong. In any case, I wouldn't have said it included Anniversary without knowing that for sure. I'm sorry if something I said mislead anyone to think otherwise.

Weird, I guess I misheard you. We talked about it for about 2.3 seconds before you had to run. It was when you were mentioning the donuts to me.

Great event yesterday. Fruit Salad was my #1. Can't even remember how many times I went back there. Would love to see bottles of that one. Also, I haven't had Windowsill for a while and it was awesome.

 

I had a great time at the Copperversary! I was the first one in line. Lol I did get an early pour of BT Reserve and the Marzapan BT since they let is in at 11:45. Buying the extra taster glass was a wise investment.
