How dare someone complain about a prepaid service where they feel like they're not getting their due!

For the record, you won't see any posts made by me bitching about the sale so far. I was simply taking their side in something I see as ridiculous, that this notion that someone who feels slighted shouldn't be allowed to complain.

Actually, I take that back. I posted on their FB page "If it's brown, flush it down" in regards to the anniversary beers, so I guess I was one of those bitching...

You paid $300 for RS and you got $300 worth of beer. That is your 'due'.

Too many people have said this, so I'm only going to bother quoting you. I know for a fact that I read about it somewhere, but even so, it's in the welcome calendar, so this isn't something they pulled out of their ass all of a sudden.

First time poster but have been lurking for a few months. Found this thread and have used it to help me make decisions on what to buy as I’m in my 1st year as a Reserve member.

Archive sale is cool because it offers people like me a chance to go back and try beers for the first time while it might seem blah to many of you who have been members for a long time. Hoping the final two weeks brings about a beer that I’ve missed out on and would really love to grab.

Had a great time at my first anniversary party. Beers that stood out to me were BT Reserve, BT w/ coconut & vanilla, Fuzzy Peaches and Fruit Salad. I would have bought a case of the Fuzzy Peaches or BT w/ coconut & vanilla if I could have.

As far as the San Diego breweries, hopefully next year the invitation won’t be extended to Stone, Green Flash and Bagby but instead Toolbox, Council and AleSmith because they would probably bring better selections.

You may have read about it somewhere but it isn't even listed in the email that they sent when Reserve Society was up for renewal. I've never considered it a perk of membership.

Here is what they sent out in the Reserve Society email.

Membership for the 2015 Reserve Society™ includes the following*:

Included in the Initial Package, available in January^^

    2 bottles of Mocha Wednesday™

    1 bottle of Smooth Criminal™

    1 bottle of Bois Fume™

1 piece of high quality merchandise

Available later in 2015, upon announcement

    2 bottles Barrel Aged 7 Swans-A-Swimming™

    2 bottles of Black Tuesday®

1 bottle of Mystery Beer #1

    Other Perks:

Guaranteed access to many limited releases throughout the year.

15% off: Allocations and other purchases through The Bruery website, The Bruery Tasting Room and Bruery Terreux Tasting Room (anticipated opening late 2015), with some exceptions to already discounted items.

Access to special growler fills, special flights, and Reserve Society events

Climate controlled storage of your online allocation purchases until March 31, 2016

Shipping within California (available at an additional cost)

Option to order online and pick up in person at the Society Fulfillment Center

Membership begins on January 1, 2015 and ends December 31, 2015

I'm glad to have access to the anni beers. Regretfully passed on many this year to preserve cash, but hoping they come back again. Especially down the road when my supply is depleted. Nice thing about RS. Paid my membership and get the value in beer and merch. After that, no obligations...just lots of opportunities that I get to take or leave.

While I have no way of backing this statement up, I would bet they did invite some if not all of them as they were doing all CA only beers (except Cascade). Sometimes breweries are already doing other events so they have to turn it down.

I would have loved to see some variants of SpeedWay Stout there.

My main issue is the elitist attitude on BA anymore. This "how dare someone complain if I don't deem it worthy of complaint." Guess what? Their money was spent just like yours, so while you may choose to complain about something that affects you more (infected beer, delay on sours, etc), some people will choose to complain about something that affects them more, like the quality of beer available so far through the anniversary sale.

I'm so sorry if some of you have to wade through the pages upon pages of people unhappy about the anniversary beer so far. It's so tough to just ignore them and not let it ruin your whole day so you don't have to read anymore complaining about something you deem is not worthy.

I (obviously) love beer, and while many of you have some kind of disposable income and can buy a case of beer, I cannot. Seeing the anniversary beers was nice... granted I'm not going to buy all of them, but I'm glad I got to buy (and drink) some delicious beers I wouldn't normally have access to.

Maybe I'm just spoiled since I can go to them whenever I want, but I didn't go to any of them. However, I thought they offered a good variety of beer. Not everyone is into sours and heavy stouts, so having a few SD breweries bring good IPAs wasn't that big of a deal to me.

Plain and simple. This thread gets hijacked time and time again with complainers, and I know I've vented a time or two as well. Most of us frequent this page at work and the last thing we want to see is people complaining about something that should be fun.

We had an amazing event on Saturday and attendees got to try some hoarders exclusive beers but instead of saying how awesome that is, people are complaining about the lack of beers that THEY perceive to be crappy for the sale.

You paid your dues in November, and by the end of the year you will get that much beer back. All of the beer you are buying now is icing on the cake. If you don't like it, don't buy it. It's as simple as that.

I actually skipped Green Flash, Stone, and Bagby... not because the beer they brought wasn't good, it's that I've had the beers they brought multiple times. If they had brought a brewery only release, or something that isn't widely distributed I would've gladly gone.

I was going to reply to this yesterday, but by the time I saw it it was already 2-1. Rooting for you @JoshBeerNow There are too many Blackhawk fans (and analysts for that matter) that think this series was gonna be easy for Chicago.

Beer Related Post: Felt bad for Artifex at the Anniversary party. They basically had an impenetrable wall blocking their booth from the rest of the event.

I thought it was funny that GF and Stone had absolutely zero line all day. Why bother coming to these events if you're not going to bring something interesting? This isn't some random, shitty beer festival.

I'm interested what the wager was! I was at Game 1, felt good 1st and 2nd period. Third period was rough, our D was weak. Melrose said the Kane missed opportunity (great save) was a turning point, but I thought that was too early in the game to be a turning point. We had plenty of chances in the power play and didn't capitalize when Anaheim did. It's going to be a great series for sure.
